Anybody know what Eagle Duo is up to today? I never see them gone from the board for this long without telling us what they're doing. |

Just wanted to let y'all know I rec'd the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill and it's great. But I'm glad I went to his web site and read his notes. There is a lot in them that was kind of skimmed over in the movie.

I forgot to say hello to EMMA ROSE. We missed you. Had a muted sunset this evening...guess it was smoke-glazed because the sun was red in the late afternoon. It was weird. Edit: Bea---just saw your great photo of the sun....wow, that is what it looked like. I have this thing that I'm going blind if I look at the sun for more than 1 second. Glad you got that great shot...will copy and send on to my family. |

The first sunset photo was taken last January, the 2nd was taken this evening. We have very beautiful sunsets from October-January. And the webcam is fun, you can zoom in on the pier or the beach (Surfers Point) or zoom out to the Channel Islands, Anacapa and Santa Cruz. It's windy, so check tomorrow morning for a clear view of the islands. The cam starts at the Pier, click right (West) and you'll see the islands about mid-way in the camera range. For sunsets, click right all the way. ![]()

Cam off for the night. Thanks ElaineRuth, for posting the poem....it makes it really special for the children to see their names made up like that. We did something similiar for family /friends for Christmas and Baby Showers, but we put them in a plexiglass photo-frame. They were well received. We are only trying the market out at present to see how things go, especially with the cruise ships coming in. Roy hasn't thought of going onto E-Bay .....yet.....who knows what the future may bring! Thanks too Patti for your good wishes for tomorrow. He has sold three plaques which some local people were taking with them to visit family in.........Denmark! They liked them because of the West Coast Flavour. I hope that they do sell......for all his hard work.......and also because it would give his confidence a big boost. Hulabird, Good Luck with the Dove......if anyone can nurse it back to health you can! Thanks everyone who posted links to various cams, looking forward to checking them out. Well Folks we have an early start tomorrow morning.......have to have everything set up by 8:30AM so will be up and out of here by 7:00AM. The things we do for love......this is totally out of my comfort zone. I am a behind the scenes person. I do the setting up for him then he has to do the communication with the tourists. Mind I do enjoy hearing where they are from and I am not completely silent....just don't like the selling bit........you should have seen me at the garage sale we had last year.....first one...compliments galore on the set up and stuff....but people like to bargain and I don't do that.....enter Mr. Negotiator! Take Care everyone..........Good Night........Sweet Dreams. |

Harpo516...I'm so sorry it isn't true. Why can't that kind of thing actually happen. That would sure stop some people in their tracks. Now my heart hurts instead of swells! Cumbrian...I have been having something wrong with this computer all day. I'll send it to you again. Thanks for the explanation of your participation in farmer's market. Yes I did ask. Has he tried to sell it elsewhere as well.Like on EBAY?...do they sell at the farmer's market. I don't think we have that sort of thing at our farmer's market...ours is mostly flowers and fruit and veggies. Sounds like a nice addition. Hopefully those tourists will buy lots. KLJinUSA I forget to look at that webcam. My sun in law used to look in on that all the time when he lived here. I guess he still does. There are some strange and magnificent looking sunsets with the fire. Too bad it takes a fire to get them. Well, I'm off for the night. Sleep well everyone Nancy I hope you are well now. |

Yes, we locals forget to look at our own beach... We live in one of the most beautiful areas in southern California. I'll always remember visiting you with my little doggie friend Scamp at your Emma Wood campsite. Scamp has been with me since Sept 1st, but she goes home Tuesday. |

Hi there! We're back! Nice to be missed!Dave & I spent the day with friends playing cards, chatting, etc. We also brought along the Eagles of Catalina CD to show them and set up their computer to use GoodSearch (crediting IWS, of course) and showed them how to use it the most effectively. They were very impressed by the CD and all the IWS is doing to restore the eagles. And now I'm ready for some Inner Peace! |
