Could that be Eagle Rock? Or is Eagle Rock even smaller than that?

From left to right:
San Miguel, Santa Rosa (missed), Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Nicholas Island, then further to the right, Santa Barbara (too small to name really) and last, Catalina

Nothing I can think of ED except a dozen or two red wigglers. I want to start my worm compost back up but I have to have my mom take care of it since they too are ill-eagle in Hawaii

You're right. Not sure why....maybe cuz they were so close together???
The island between Santa Cruz Island and San Miguel Island is Santa Rosa Island.

Here's a satelite photo of the So. California coastline (and our home to the right) and the islands off the coast.
Posted Image

The photo caption included Santa Rosa Island as part of Santa Cruz. They are two separate islands... just want to make sure everyone understands the geography.

Wheeler's canyon branches off of Foothill Blvd going toward Santa Paula. I'm so directionally challenged it's pathetic. Now where that is I have no idea. But I think if you were to go to his house you'd have to drive up hwy33. You can just see where it is from Wheeler's canyon.

I have been thinking all day that this is the most we have all talked since our Cruz left her nest!! But folks. listen to all of us. This is the reason I joined this forum because we are a great group of people with a little eagle and big hearts in common. I can't tell you how I appreciate each and every one of us for our openess and caring about our environment, pets, things and people and anything else I left out. Thank you one and all.

Bea.... Eagle Rock is a city near Los Angeles.

Sandie, Eagle Rock (I think that's what it is called) is also a very very tiny Island that is privately owned by someone. It was recently featured in one of Huell Howser's programs.

I thought .5 meant you didn't know how many would come in the litter. Glad I was wrong?

What a beautiful satellite picture. I've always known I was lucky, but sometimes I forget so I walk out to the end of the pier and it is really a fantastic view. I've always thought it was our version of Hawaii, so maybe Hulabird will come over and give a professional opinion. Please?

Channel 11 is reporting hwy 150 is closed to anyone but residents now so can't go up from Santa Paula on 10th street.
Also as long as the winds continue blowing to the south things should be okay. If they blow west then Santa Paula, Ojai, Fillmore and Piru are in serious danger and will probably have to be evacuated
