Isn't it nice how he doesn't ridicule us on our most embarrassing moments? He came and went without embarrassing me to death. That I had accomplished already by myself. Dr and Mrs Sharpe, we love and respect you. We are just kidding about mantling, (well most of us anyway). But NO, really. We love what you're doing, love the eagles, IWS, fundraising for IWS, and are in awe of the work you do. Like on Gene Simmons, Family Jewels, nobody is threatened here. (If you aren't Tivo'ing that, you're missing a really funny program).

I think one of us has way too much time on her hands since prematurely retiring. Sorry. Of course you know there was no offense intended to Dr Sharpe or his bride. But girlfriend, you're gunna have to get used to the rock star status in the next season because I have seen the people from the Dark Forest in full mantle on the pictures at the banding events. Wait til next year. We're going to raise over $25K. I just know it.

Eagle Duo: I kept hoping that you were on and grabbing pictures, but when you didn't, I got desperate, so I had to do something! So . . . Hulabird, I just right clicked on the screen, did a "Save As" and saved the picture onto my c:\ drive. Then I read Cumbrian's post in the Tech thread about how to upload the picture onto the message board. I guess that's pretty fail safe. I will have to read the rest of the tech thread soon and find out how you all do those succession of pictures so quickly. Thanks Cumbrian for posting the instructions! It was me or nothing, and I couldn't let you all down. Talk about learning on the "fly" . . . .

OK polly23. I've seen that you've been a member since the day before the banding event but no posts. Are you shy? You see we won't eat you up. You wanna come and join us? We really love our newbies here. You don't have to worry about a thing. We're all family here. Just jump on in wherever you feel comfy. If you came from someplace else, just know that we will cuddle you to pieces over here. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Just received an e-mail from a friend who sent me these pictures. They were taken in Comox, B.C. by an unknown photographer.

Bird, you did fantastic. I couldn't have done any better. I haven't found a way to get Frapps to record the Two Harbors or West End nests, so I either do a printscreen and crop or right click and SaveAs. If there is a way to use Frapps (the free version) on those nests, I'd sure love to know how to do it.....anyone?

And Naturegal, WOW!!!! :o Fantastic pictures of that eagle nest/family. Loved them all!

You're welcome Peppermint. Enjoy!

I have been trying to catch up on all the news for the past few days as we were away again. Boating season is coming to a close shortly so I will have more time to read and write.

For all you west coast people who are close to the fires, my prayers are with you. I wish I could ship the rain that we are having now to all of you.

Cumbrian, do you know where Comox, B.C. is? I was wondering if the photos I posted above are in an area close to the Saanich eagle nest.

Was it nestful thinking or was there a bird there?
