PC family here all the way. I just asked Dave about it and he said he downloaded it for me (he's so good to me!) from the web. He'll check and see where it got it. He's always doing stuff to my computer and forgetting to tell me, but that's okay, cuz he's my hero .....especially when it comes to the technical side of computers! |

Hi Elaine there is a "something" going around these days...sore throat...fatigue and some stomach upset. I have had that and been trying to ignore it for the past couple days. I think I have a magnet around my neck that shouts to all the virus out there....pick me pick me. I try to deal but sometimes....it takes a glass of wine to get over it. These fires are just getting all of us here down. I am tired of going outside and all my beautiful plants with this soot all over them and my car! UUUUGGGGHHHH. Oh that felt good to vent that out. I am so glad we have had visitors to the nest. And thank you to all those that are computer specialists and with husbands that are that take those wonderful pictures cause we challenged people really appreciate them. |

Good Evening Everyone, Just caught up with all the posts that I missed today. Thank you Hulabird, Harpo, Nancy and Eagle Duo for all the photographs, and other links, and also the screen captures/video of our nest visitor today. The Eagle photographs of the Alaskan Eagles are just tremendous....I was thinking of so many captions as I was viewing them. Loved them all. That guy that took them, is one Heck of a photographer! Been a long day, so will sign off for the night. Just wanted to say Hi and be safe if you are in the fire areas. Good Night and Sweet Dreams. |

Good Evening all....Home now and finally had a concentrated amount of time to watch the Maine eagles nest building...It just amazes me how wonderful these structures are that these birds can build. Thanks Bee for the video. When I got home there was a letter in my mailbox from UC Davis vet school...and when I opened it up it brought tears to my eyes again. It seems that the Contra Costa Emergency Vet Clinic that I took my beloved Lulu to had made a donation to the Vet School's Companion Animal Memorial Fund in Lulu's name. With that donation they are able to study diseases in domesticated dogs, cats, birds and exotic animals to help ease and understand some of their suffering. I was so touched and felt so overwhelmed that I had to sit down and cry for a while. To think that Lulu's death is helping those that remain living was just wonderful. Evidently they receive over $150,000 a year from participating vet organizations to help fund their work. Well, anyhow just thought I would share that with you all and let you know how much Lulu's memory is still at work as she romps around the "Rainbow Bridge." And to all of you for your kind thoughts and toasts to her in her passing. |

Nancy that is so wonderful. Brings back memories of after 3 years I can do now without sobbing uncontrollably about my own little Lulu (a silky terrier) Elaine, I hope you're feeling better girlfriend. Cumbrian welcome back, I hope all your chaos is going to get under control soon. We miss you. Some of us are trying to hold down the nest but we can never do it like you do. Fire zone peeps, you have my thoughts and prayers for a deluge of rain overnight. Did anybody see my post yesterday about LoverofChicks donating her poem to IWS for resale? |

Deb and Hulabird - thank you for those gorgeous eagle pictures. You want to reach out and touch them. Nancy - I watched the peregrine falcons in San Francisco too. Wasn't it exciting? I did get frustrated while trying to see the new hatchling in all those weeds. Mother was very smart about her nest area. I seem to remember reading they had been at another building the year before. Those lucky PG&E employees, just look out your window and watch the miracle! Your Lulu is at Rainbow Bridge playing with all my pets that are there now. Patti - You said your brother lived in the hills outside of Lodi, I lived for many years in Linden which is only 9 miles from Lodi, had lots of friends there. How far outside and which hills? Bee |

Hulabird, I was able to get an English translation of the site you shared by right clicking on the page and going down to Translate Page into English at the bottom of my flydown. I'm not technical enough to know if this works on all computers, but it did on mine and probably will on others if not all....right?
