They just left. They didn't appear to do much other than preening occasionally. Maybe they discussed the condition of the nests?

Taken just before they left:

Camera went off for the night just after they left. Good timing!

Jann, Thanks for your screen shots of Two Harbors.....I tried with our program and these are the best I could come up with......Roy tried to enhance the first one but as you can see they are not clear.

Hi Everyone...just returned from being out in the smoke all day. I could not tell you where we went but my honey took his truck and we hauled animals out of the valley/Santa Paula today. What a sad state of affairs. I can't believe how frightened the horses were. We just hauled them to safer ground. It was really smokey where we were. I also saw, what I think, was the DC10 that they talked about using on the fire. That is one big plane!

I am so sorry to hear about Larry. It can't be any easier to say how sorry I am. Larry was much loved and you will remember him forever.

Hulabird I am back!! I hope I am not the cause of all your $'s spent with the sales man???

I'm back too.. Ojai is very clear today.. the fire is still charging along, and actually came over the Topa Topa Mountains this morning.. first time I could see flames.
But, that said.. things are looking very good and with the winds coming from onshore, they can get a handle on things. It still just needs a couple wild days of east winds to change everything but we are happy for now.
I feel so bad for Larry's mom and dad....I'm still crying for him and the way he decided to end things... He might as well be mine for the tears that I have....

Wonder if it is because the other two nests are overlooking the water on Catalina Island, that they each have been visited by two Adults today?

It would be nice to see our Mom/Dad visit our nest.........

Patti has posted new information on the Tech Thread about the SnagIt program she is capturing screen shots with.....very successfully......and I also posted info on the program that Bea is using too. So this may be of some interest to other members that have been wanting to try their hand at screen captures. Both programs are for PC's.

Hey, it will be great if several of us can do captures next season.....as we have sponsored several nests, and three of them have Cams, we may have to work out a schedule so that we can cover all bases...or in this case nests! Wouldn't that be something!

The firefighters are being treated as heros in town.. at the drug store, they get to go to the front of the line.. when they pass in the trucks, people honk and wave, yelling "thank you"..The trucks are from Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, etc.. not just Cal. We just can't do enough or thank them enough for being here.

Ojai Hikers and Lala, so happy and relieved to hear from you both. I'm glad everyone is treating the firefighters like the heros they are.

Cumbrian that's a great idea about shift work on the nests.

Patti, I was going to ask you what screen capture program you are using. I love the frame and little place to put a caption. Cumbrian already answered me though.

Sandie, yes its all your fault I had to spend all that money today (needed somebody to blame, might as well be you) :P

I will match your donation, Ojailala, for my sister's sweet doggie Larry.

And I want all of you to know how touched she is by your thoughts...

Ojai hikers/lala...so glad to hear from you guys. I was wondering how you were. Last night the flames were not as huge on the mountain but still very visible and lots of smoke from the topa topa's.

Hulabird....I'm sorry....a little??

So how long have the clickable smilies been moving or is that from your touch Jann or Hulabird? They are sure cute.

Peppermint I forgot to answer your question about where I live. I live right off Hwy 126 at the Wells off ramp. I can see the glow of the fire very well from here.
