Oh we're up - just in no hurry to go to work - and then of course it takes a while to read all the activity we missed because we had to go to bed and the westers are still busy.. Good morning to all! It's sunny and bright and cooooool - love it Waiting on the plumber - we tore our 1st floor (main) bathroom out 3 years ago (just leaving the toilet because I refuse to run to the basement) and finally now we are going to start putting it back - either we are WAY to busy or WAY too lazy!! Of course the plumber is just doing the pipe work - we're doing all the rest so it will still be another 3 years!! har har har Loved the photos yesterday - guess I really need to start watching the other nests on a more regular basis! I need a bigger screen - hmmm anniversary/christmas and birthday all coming up - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  (and today's date is 26th not 16th - oh lord that's why I'm afraid sometimes to start the topic!!) - darn fingers always jumping to the wrong key! |

Good Morning all. Sandie looks like I'm the second one up on the West Coast I have to go into work today but not much going on there, so should be fairly easy. It's quarter break and students are gone, thank goodness.Had an exciting evening last night. Someone ran over the fire hydrant in our townhome complex at 11:30pm. Good thing I live on the uphill side of the development, but the poor people right there on the downhill....Flooded their garages and some of the rooms in their homes. The thing is I heard the guy and saw the truck, but didn't get any information to describe for the fireman. I was too blurry-eyed. Lots of clean-up followed so didn't get much sleep. I will check in later. You all have a great day

MaMiMoBa: Me tooo - shorts and sweatshirt - that's me! (well not at work though )Nancy: that's a good point - live at the top of the hill! they had a hydrant/water break in the city last year and it was AMAZING how much water there was before they could get it shut off! Have a good one everyone - check in later - (working on good searches) |

I was actually the first one up at 1am this morning....not by choice, mind you, but because I had a little girl kicking me in the back. Yes, Leyla spent the night last night. Actually, the whole family did cuz the water is off at their house for the day. Leyla has her own bed here, but rarely stays in it.Glad it was a little girl kicking me that woke me up and not the excitement you had, Nancy! What a mess!!! Those poor people downhill from the hydrant!I think Sandi used the Left-Hander's Eastern Chinese calendar for Blondes this morning. Yeah, fall is here.....only in the 90's instead of 100's. And I got a letter from a friend yesterday in Colorado with pictures of snow in her yard! Yikes!!! A bit early for that!!! |

She's gone now. Stayed about 40 minutes in the same spot, looking all around.....possibly watching for her next meal?

A couple crows dropped by the Two Harbors nest briefly around 10:30 (nest time)....probably hoping for leftovers. First one came.... ![]() Then another....though it was shy &stayed off to the side: ![]() The 2nd one must have found a tidbit cuz the 1st one joined him.... ![]() ....and they both flew off. |
