ED--oh, yes, nestful thinking for sure. Wow--I can't use the painting tool very well because it seems to want to revert to picking up what I've already drawn and wants to lift it off the page. I had to focus on just keeping the outline together, period. There must be a simple solution that I have obviously not discovered. I was determined to get a bird on that screen, one way or another--since I may very well miss a real sighting today. Loved your birdie capture graphics.

Gosh, I'm going to have to get back to the other "task" and it's a whopper one, like will take several days. I am really procrastinating on this.

A little long but even though it's referenced to dogs, I think it applies to all our pets!

Thanks Hula-Debi-Bird! I really enjoyed that story! Well, I learned something else from this forum today...that's what I love about this place! Can you imagine watching an eagle dive at 200 miles an hour to catch a meal??? Boy would I love to see that! I wonder how they do that? I mean, they don't weigh all that much, so, how can they pick up that much speed? Hmmmm, guess I should have posted that in the question section.

I'm laughing hysterically because I have this mental picture of me diving at speeds well over 200 mph to catch my meal! Boy that would be a sloppy dive! It would make for a hilarious video though! :D  :D

An 8:30 trip into Ojai to take Sasha to pre-schol was an adventure... we were in a convoy of trucks from all over the west... there are signs hanging in Ojai, thanking the firemen and a couple motels letting firemen stay free!!! We played "count how many firetrucks" and give up after about 50... fire grew overnight.. moving parallel
with the town, but not actually coming down the hills into Ojai... over 200,000 square miles now which is so hard to believe.. it would take me about and hour and a half to get to the area that it started on I-5... so far away, and here it is in our back yard.

I didn't see any wingblings on this one. Must have been 'Wray', the other female? I discovered on the IWS site this morning that #69's name is Dianna and the other female is Wray. Hadn't noticed that before.

Well, I need to head out to Hemet to meet the boys when they get out of school, so I'll see ya'll tonight. Hope ya'll get lots of sightings and captures!

The last I heard about the fire very early this morning was that it jumped the fire break and was heading back in a northwest direction towards Lockwood Valley...which was under evacuation at the time. That was around 6:30am...haven't heard or checked any updates since then. No smoke Carpinteria direction that I can see out my window. I can't get up to look further cuz the cat is on my lap sleeping and has me trapped!

Hello Everyone.......busy lurking today whilst working on the computer.

Great screen shots Eagle Duo/Jann at both nests today. I saw the eagle earlier on at the WE nest when I checked there, but I only have the Santa Cruz nest on the desktop, whilst I am working between the two computers......Still have 1 monitor between the two for now.
Sorry you got woken up so early by Princess Leyla.

sandie, that was wonderful that you and your honey were able to rescue the animals... "Another star in your crown" as my mum would have said.

Hulabird, loved that story about the eagle rescue/release.

Harpo, hope the plumber arrives.....wasn't it you that the electrician let down by not arriving? Loved all the dogs/sayings......but just wait until Bixby sees all those Beagles!

Nancy, Poor guys being flooded out.....by a Fire Hydrant of all things.

Patti, you are obviously having a lot of fun with your new program.....love the outline of A-49 on the nest! :D

Hope everyone is having a good day......whatever you are doing. Stay safe.
