Good morning! Eagles on the West End nest already! It's still a little foggy, but you can see they appear busy....either eating or working on the nest?

Good Morning all....A bit overcast up here in the Northern part of California. Hope that I get to see some Hawks today. I'm headed to Hawk Hill in the Marin Headlands. Hopefully some of this fog will burn off.

Watched the 20/20 special with Teri Irwin about Steve. What a strong determined woman. I was crying the whole time. The zoo looks very beautiful and the animals so healthy and happy looking. Hope that you all were able to tune in.

Well better get ready and I will check in later. Everyone have a good day!

They're definitely working on the nest. One flew away at 6:32am (nest time) and came back 10 minutes later with nesting material.

Can't make a number(s) out on the wingbling no matter how much zooming or enhancing I did.

p.s. The Two Harbors nest is still frozen on Tuesday evening.

Both eagles flew away at 6:54am (nest time), so I need to get Leyla & myself ready for our day. See ya'll later.

p.s. We did see the Terri Irwin interview last night. What an amazing woman. The love and passion in her eyes and voice as she talked really choked me up.

ED--Jann--good thing you're the early riser and THANK YOU so much for the great WE nest captures. I'll try to stick around the office while finishing up my little procrastinated project. Think this will work this a.m. and have the nest up.

Nancy--Happy Hawking!

Thanks for the photos - I love the one where both turned and looked at the camera as if to say - "what are you looking at?" :D

I saw the 20/20 last night too - my hat off to her! Terri is a special person and what a life she had with Steve and I can see only positive things coming from this tragedy! The Irwin story is surely not finished - there was a vision that will continue.

Good morning everyone! Definitely feels like fall this morning...my favorite season! It's supposed to be another hot dry day up in the fire area which is still raging around Lockwood Valley. But good news is, supposed to start cooling down with increased moisture in the air this weekend thru at least Monday. Some of those poor firefighters were headed home when it flared up the other night and they turned them right back around to the front lines. I don't know how they do it...I don't do well with heat let alone with all the gear they have to wear!

Teddy: hope you're doing ok there

Hula: I guess the rain isn't affecting you much since you have not mentioned it? Tis the season?

I'm sorry Peppermint, I meant to answer your question yesterday. We have gotten some rain (its coming into our rainy season) which is fall/winter. But in my area (which I seldom leave-if I had a GPS pack, you might think I was dead and have to send Dr Sharpe after me). Nothing out of the ordinary here but possibly in other areas of the island. I don't watch the local news, I already know more about this place than I care to. Thanks for checking on us though.

Loved your nest shots Jann, thanks for that.

Sandie, wake your sleepy head up. Waiting for you.

Joanie, I answered your e-mail question. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Can't wait to see Dr Sharpe's response to Peppermint.

Fire zone peeps, I'm keeping an eye on you. Looks like the Ojai ladies might be looking at an evac.

Everyone else, miss you. I haven't been posting much in the last few days. I've read all the posts but if I've missed something I should be responding to, please remind me. This blonde hair is real! :D

Elaine Ruth, MUST.CHAT.WITH.YOU.NOW. Holler when you're on.

Hula: sitting here laughing at the mind picture of you wearing a gps backpack with that little antenna sticking out....Peter knocking at your door to see if you are ok!

The fire is actually quite a ways from Ojai. Not that it couldn't change fast if the wind were to whip up and change direction. I believe it is actually moving in the direction away from Ojai...wouldn't it be something if it ended up back down at I-5 again?

Good to know our Ojai peeps are safe for now.

This one is for Bixby. I know its a basset hound but use your imagination.

Hulabird, Ojai ladies are out of harms way. I hiked through the forestry hot pink tape and CLOSED signs today. I need to go to rehab for hikers. Any way it was lovely. Can you believe this though. They hired DC 10's to carry fire retardent to upper Ojai last weekend. It is the biggest fire since the forty's they say. Ojai was lucky this time, it really stayed in the back country and just dusted us with ash for two weeks. Thanks to all the fire crew. Good Job!!

OH, are you allowed to go hike on Santa Rosa (for theraputic reasons of course)? Just stay out of the line of fire of the gun wielding animal killers and wear an orange vest.

Good Morning all~

Great to see some busy adults getting there nests together. I can't wait to see our family back on the nest.

Last nights 60 minutes was such a tear jerker. How brave to come out so soon and do an interview.

Hope everyone is safe, happy and healthy today.
