Was that the camera Peter said he was going to replace? I can't watch those two nests and work at the same time. If I minimize the screen, when I come back the link is gone. What's with that? Does it "time out"?

Yes, the Two Harbors and West End nests time out after 5 minutes. Just clicking on the BACK button when that happens refreshes it for me.

The Santa Cruz camera is getting replaced and moved closer (from 90m to 30m), within the next couple of weeks.

I think I'm losing it because I have two recollections. One that a camera was going to be "moved" to a slightly different spot---and two, that a lens (or whatever it is) was dirty and going to be cleaned. Don't go on my words, since I'm not at all sure of this.

Edit: Something about replacing a camera is ringing a big bell, now, P-Patti

Patti: that's how I remember it too. Peter was going to do something with one of the Catalina cameras....clean or replace.

You know when you log in at at the bottom of the screen it says that the most people logged in at once was something like 68 people on banding day? Well if Dr Sharpe can give us a camera day (and we know he has challenges and doesn't have to worry about it being perfect), I know we can beat that. Whatchoo talkin'bout A-49ers?)

I found it! From Peter:

The lens on the Two Harbors nest cam housing is dirty and gets a lot of the late day sun, so it is hard to see. Also, the camera I put in this spring does not seem to be adjusting properly, so it is overly bright. I'll be replacing it in October or November.

$63.00 , while a round number Teddy_Neal is not close to $100 which we need by the end of the month to get a check. At this stage of the game, I'd kinda like to use this next year to get the total to $10K, We have a whole new year and many more peeps coming in.

Boy oh boy, have I been a busy beaver today. Trying to tie up any loose ends before I take off today for vacation.

Lots of great pictures of the adults at the Other two nests. Would love to see one on the SC nest.

Well this time tomorrow I will be in Scotland. WOOOHOOO!!!
I have mixed emotions about leaving, I am going to miss loging in everyday and reading your posts, I am kind of addicted to it now and how am I ever going to catch up with everything for the next two weeks. Gulp!! I wish I could take a laptop with me so I can check out the nest and forum everyday. Even better I wish I could take everyone with me. Now that would be a fun adventure!!

Take care everyone, thank you all for the bon voyages . . .

I will be checking in again in two weeks. And seeing the locals for the Santa Cruz Island trip.

Should we shoot for $10K in one year?

Sounds like a plan to me!

Have to go out for a while, picking up my aunt's budgie again, as she is going on another mini cruise tomorrow. At this rate Misty will think he lives here and not at her home! :D

Will check back later.........
