Wow, Jann--the WE eagle moved up closer to the front and much bigger. Wonder if it's one of the other females---looks kind of big? Can't see wingblings. Think I'll try to get that nest up again. |

Wow, Cumbrian, you're a lot faster than I am at capturing and posting screenshots! Probably didn't help that I was talking on the phone the whole time, huh? Great shots! Is the one in back still there? My screen froze, so I'm not sure. It wasn't doing much, but #69 flew in, did some rearranging and took off pretty quickly. Expect she might be back again before dark....if the camera holds out long enough to see her return. Never mind....screen just unfroze and they're both gone now. |

Thanks for the West End nest photos, guys. It's never too early to prepare for the nest next year, eh??? And I'm hoping to see that indigenous little blue island scrup jay on our Oct 22 hike. Geez, I wished HRH Cruz hadn't flown the coup to Santa Rosa last week. |

[QUOTE=ElaineRuth,Sep 30 2006, 05:32 PM]
Okay, now when Dave and Jann get over, you get Woody and this is what you do: you tote that big ol' bed down to an empty beach area when the tide is going out. Next you put up a tall 2 x 4 and nail a big sheet to it. Then you break a bottle of Inner Peace over the head board and give 'er a big shove. If you want, you could pin a note to the mattress (as in a bottle). Now, if that goes good, you can do the same thing with the other furniture pieces. Maybe some of those folks from all the TV survivor shows will rescue it on some deserted island and voila!!!... recycling at it's best!!!![/u][/I This is why I love you guys, I laughed so hard when I read this... It's made my day!!!! |

A couple black birds showed up briefly to clean up the remnants of the eagle's meal and left.

Thanks for all the great screen shots today. And Elaine Ruth, great suggestion but if I have to wait til ED gets here, I'll burn my garage down. PS ER, made the 700 club today. |

Hi everyone...glad to see the west end nest was busy. Thanks for those screen captures, Cumbrian and Eagle Duo. What would we do without you guys? Had a successful day with Mom and shopping. Gathered several more ideas to work on some projects as if we don't have enough to do. Hulabird I like Elaine's idea! That's one way to get rid of a big something. I think a controlled burn is another way. I did that alot prior to my big move....shhhhh better keep that one secret, I don't think the ex knows about that one In any event someone somewhere will need a big bedroom set you'll see!
