Maybe I could drag it down there and donate it to all the homeless crack heads who have taken over the beaches so nobody else can safely use them.

Boy, I'll bet I'm just getting Eagle Duo so excited to come to the land of A-no-ha. (remember that credit card commercial from Capital One)?

Not the furniture on eBay but I have listed it on craiglist and no takers. The bedrooms are so small in these houses over here. I've seen them as small as 6x10 (10x12 is about the norm for a master bedroom) Painful isn't it? Heck, my closet is bigger than that. Everyone was telling us at the last one that the price was right but it just wouldn't fit in their bedroom. Did I mention that I hate living in Hawaii?

Okay, now when Dave and Jann get over, you get Woody and this is what you do:
you tote that big ol' bed down to an empty beach area when the tide is going out. Next you put up a tall 2 x 4 and nail a big sheet to it. Then you break a bottle of Inner Peace over the head board and give 'er a big shove.
If you want, you could pin a note to the mattress (as in a bottle).
Now, if that goes good, you can do the same thing with the other furniture pieces.
Maybe some of those folks from all the TV survivor shows will rescue it on some deserted island and voila!!!... recycling at it's best!!!!

If the bed floats, maybe we could convert it into a boat for Lake Hemet. Getting it back here would be the problem then. I'm probably not up to sailing it back.

Here's my philosophy on housekeeping:
I don't do windows because.....
I love birds and don't want one to
run into a clean window and get hurt.

I don't wax floors because.....
I am terrified a guest will slip and get hurt
then I'll feel terrible.
(plus they might sue me.)

I don't mind the dust bunnies because.....
They are very good company,
I have named most of them,
and they agree with everything I say.

I don't disturb cobwebs because.....
I want every creature
to have a home of their own.

I don't 'Spring Clean' because.....
I love all the seasons
and don't want the others to get jealous.

I don't pull weeds in the garden because.....
I don't want to get in God's way,
He is an excellent designer!

I don't put things away because.....
I love my husband and worry that
he'd never be able to find them again.

I don't do gourmet meals when I entertain because.....
I don't want my guests to stress out over what to make
when they invite me over for dinner.

I don't iron because.....
I choose to believe them
when they say "Permanent Press".

I don't stress much on anything because.....
"A Type" personalities die young and
I want to stick around
and become a wrinkled up crusty ol' woman!!!!

Wow....ER joined the 700 club and Patti joined the 1,000 club! That calls for a toast of inner peace!!!

We just finished the monthly bathing of all the birds, major bird room cleaning, and cage scrubbing. This is a huge job that really needs to be done every 2 weeks but we just can't. It takes hours. Usually like 4-6 but today we got it done in record time. Just under 3 hours. Woody just upped and decided at 3:20 or so that it couldn't wait til tomorrow <_< But I'm glad its over with. A couple of weeks ago I did the little room by myself as one of my "got something done today" projects. Oh man, it took me half the day and the little bird room is the easiest.

Jann, my philosophy exactly except that I think "Why clean it up when its just going to get dirty again" pretty much covers it for me.

Hi all: back safe from Big Bear, and we're officially half done with the move. Everything went smooth, the rental truck ran fine, although it got pretty hot grunting up the grade over Onyx Summit (8400 feet). Family members met us up there and helped us unload. And we made it back to the rental place here in Vista before 6pm, so didn't get charged for another day!

Coming back it took us 40 minutes to get through about 3 miles of traffic at the 10/215 merge in Riverside: Eagle Duo, how do you manage that? Every trip we've made the traffic in that area is horrendous, no matter the day or time.

I loved the housework poem Eagle Duo: while loading up the moving truck yesterday one of our friends made loud comments about how dusty the top of my hutch is. My response was, "I only dust what I can see".

H-Bird: around my neck of the woods, if we want to get rid of something we put it out front with a for sale sign on it. That guarantees it will be stollen and gone by morning. That would be safer than torching it, and easier than dragging it down to the crack heads.

Well, that's about it for me. Heading for dreamland. There's some talk around here that we are taking tomorrow off from packing and taking it easy. I might be able to check out the nests in daylight myself, and before I forget, thanks to all for the screen captures, the pictures are just great.

Good night dear friends, have a pleasant evening.

Absolutely! That will work every time here. You can get rid of anything that way whether you want to or not.
