My 2 grandaughters who live in Illinois will be visiting for a few days. One is 15 and the other 17. Alan (my hubby) and I better take some energy pills, or eat lots of spinach because we are sure going to be busy. The older girl is going to check out universities here as the family is planning to move back to Toronto next June. Looking forward to that move. Finally all our 4 kids will be here and 6 out of 8 grandchildren too. The 2 oldest boys are away at university but visit quite often. It will be nice to have all of them around at the same time for special family gatherings and holidays.

Oh Carole, I am sooo happy for you! There is nothing like having your kids and their's living close by. We have 4 kids and two live nearby. Of the others, one is is Florida and the other is in the Oakland, CA area (just bought some land in Alaska).
The coming holidays will be wonderful and hectic for you!! Take plenty of vitamins!

Thank you, Denny, for monitering GoodSearch for us. I was skeptical at first, so little money was being accrued. But look how it's adding up!

Hulabird asked if this was a Navy term ..... it's a Three Stooges term! Ha!

I thought it came from the old Bowrey Boys b/w movies....

"let me regurgitate myself...."

WOWWWWW!!! Thanks for all the great shots and video of "our" nest! Sooo exciting. I was at a client's office all afternoon and couldn't get the cam up...kept getting some kind of server error message. I think he/she was taking more nestintory for the big trip to Nest Depot...trying out the edge...."hmmm...this part still feels pretty solid....the middle needs some reinforcement and some nice soft stuff". I'm so glad we have talented people here so we never reallly miss out.

Hey, Hulabird, where are those pictures you took yesterday? I don't think I'm alone in wanting to see them! Please!

Wow....anyone else having trouble posting to the forum tonight? Maybe that's why it's so quiet tonight?

No trouble here...just in and out of the office, cooking dinner, thinking about doing laundry....just the thinking wears me out.

Teddy: Here's a blog for you about the Stooges.....btw...I saw them live at our little Rooks County Fair in Stockton, Kansas when I was about 6 years old...just loved them! I learned this expression from either my dad or my uncle:

"I resemble that remark!" is a classic comedy line. Anything you have read in recent popular culture containing has stolen from the past.

I myself was introduced to this line by watching Curly utter it in countless episodes of The Three Stooges. The joke proceeds like this:

(Snooty Rich Lady): "Murphy, who are those slovenly creatures at the door?"

(Murphy the butler): "The plumbers, Madam."

(Snooty Rich Lady): "Well, send them to the servant's entrance. We can't allow rifraff in the front door."

(Curly): "I resemble that remark!"

I suspect, however, that the Three Stooges stole the line themselves from Amos 'n Andy.
