Eagle Alert on the West End Nest! The camera is frozen, so I hope it's still there by the time I get this posted.

Cheryl...I am right there with you and feel my arms around you. I am so sorry you lost your dad. It's painful for your family but losing my daughter gave me a greater appreciation for life in general. Good for Ian... I have definately missed your input here.

Hulabird....did you get another permission slip??? MIA.

I have a time distortion thing going on. I am done with a portion of school but I now have an overwhelming amount of classes I have to take on the next road. I can't imagine what it will be like for me when we get an eagle on the nest here. It's going to be mind blowing cause I will want to be glued to this screen.

I am going to housesit/petsit for the next month. So you may not hear much from me for awhile. Don't worry....I'll be back!!

cdn: I'm soooo sorry to hear about your dad. We were definitely missing you. You can always come here for some big wing mantling. It made me cry to think of your son kicking that 37 yard field goal for his grandpa....way to make him proud, Ian!!!! Keep on kickin'!

This is for Elaine and Jann...oh and MaMiMoBa too!:

Advice for the day: If you have a lot of tension and you
get a headache, do what it says on the aspirin bottle:

"Take two aspirin" and "Keep away from children."

ED:  I thought in the first photo you "added" the bird shadow to trick us!! and then it's even funnier to see the bird in the later photo

I'll have to remember that for April 1st! :D Looking at the picture now, I'm not sure if it was a shadow or an actual raven in the nest. Even tried zooming in on it and I still can't tell. Whichever it is, I didn't put it there! :D

Happy 80th birthday to your mom, Denny! Glad to hear she's in good health! :D

Love that saying, Peppermint! Funny thing is, when I'm away from them for more than a day, I go into withdrawal. :o Good thing I'm gonna have Hawaii to distract me for those 10 days in December I won't see them!

Oops!! Was just going to post a nest alert and then they flew away. There were two...count 'em....two scrub jays on the nest at the same time. One was on the middle branch and another smaller(?) one was checking out the old dining room. First the diner left, then the percher....or should I say poacher?

Jann: I know what you mean. I remember when my son was a baby. I'd be soooo exhausted that I couldn't WAIT for his naptime. And then after he was asleep for awhile, I'd miss him. Absence makes the heart grow fonder? lol

Teddy: Happy Birthday Mom!!

Hi all have a moment this afternoon to check in. The Blue Angels are buzzing us right now. They are practicing their act for this weekends performance. It is Fleet Week here is SF and they will perform. Unfortunately, they scare the birds away and cause car alarms to go off.

CDN-CDN Thanks for the photos of the cranes it was so nice to hear from you again we missed you. So sorry to hear of the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Oreo is recovering nicely, but is finding it difficult to manuver with collar. We had a rough night. She uses the wall to find her way to the litter box. It is kinda funny to watch. I have enclosed a pic of her that I took this morning. Please excuse the darkness of it as it was taken with my cell phone and it was very early.

"This bonnet is not the Easter bonnet that I had in mind!"
