How good is your memory, Harpo? April 1st is a looooooong ways off! :D

Have ya'll ever noticed how the different the nest looks in the different lights. Sometimes it doesn't look like it needs too much work and other times, it looks in need of major nestovation.....like this picture!

Nancy - Poor Oreo. I remember when our animals have had to wear those. It's really pitiful watching them try to manuver the first day or so, but it's amazing how quickly they really get used to it and act like it's normal. Hope it's the same for Oreo.

cdn Cheryl, very sorry and greatest sympathies for the loss of your father, big mantle girl.

Nancy, Oreo looks to be at least sleeping off the surgery and hope for good prognosis. When you see a pic like that, you just want to hug her, dont you! but dont wake her!

G'day to everyone, my Friday! Im out of the office today, not back till your late, so keep me posted with any eagle pics!

Cheryl, I am so very sorry for your loss of your father.
My mom is 89 and living in Florida. And even though she is in the very best of health (better then me), at this point every time the phone rings and I see it's from my Florida son, I hold my breath.
I wish you peace at this time.

This is for Elaine and Jann...oh and MaMiMoBa too!:

Advice for the day: If you have a lot of tension and you
get a headache, do what it says on the aspirin bottle:

"Take two aspirin" and "Keep away from children."

--Author Unknown

 It's 10:06 PM here and my 4 year old Michael is sitting next to me talking up a storm and drawing pictures to send to his grammy and grandma! Now, he's starting one for his Uncle Bob in California! Now he tells me he needs more light! Where's THAT aspirin bottle!!!!! :( :D

Home from work and have attended to the healing kitty. This is so much work, and prior to that I'm taking care of Buddy the cockatiel so have to stop by and feed him. I feel like I'm vet on wheels here. Anyhow all seems well and I see signs of returning to normal cat behavior. Time heals all

Oz posted a pic for you in the anything else section. I got a kick out of it this morning. enjoy!

Beautiful nest shots. Can't wait to see some activity in our own. The Blue Angles made several more passes today and I'm sure they will practice again tomorrow. Everyone wear your denim tomorrow in support of breast cancer awareness. We do it every year at my place of employment and raise nearly $1,500. A $5 donation is given and you wear a pin and then sport your denim.
Hope everyone is well and stay dry. We had a rainy day here but not for long. Should be clear the weekend. Talk with you soon

Dear Cheryl,
I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I know how you feel about not being able to comprehend that he's gone. I lost my dad too...14 years ago now and I still find myself shaking my head in disbelief. He's really not "gone" though. At least that's what I believe, actually, I have to believe it or else...
You now have another magnificent guardian angel watching over you and your loved ones. You also have all those treasured memories which will stay with you forever.
Dad's are just the best, aren't they. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this very sad and difficult time for you and your family. Please take care.
Sincerely,
Nancy

Jann - thank you so much for compiling the Cruzinary. It makes it so much easier to read and for the umpteenth time, I laughed hysterically. You are such an organized person and I truly appreciate this effort.

I agree, condensing the Cruzinary onto one page took a lot of effort and was a joy to read...

:( Well, I'm about 1 hour and 45 min. from that area. It's just awful, really awful. A friend of mine had to take her child to Children's Hosp. of Philadelphia yesterday and she saw several Amish people around. The children (girls) were flown all over to help save their lives. I've seen lots of coverage via local news. I can't believe this keeps happening. I keep thinking about how terrified those poor children must have felt...especially the Amish...they are so secluded from the outside world...so pure and innocent. I saw a report earlier where the Amish are very forgiving people and they have already made a statement that they forgave the shooter and his family. They permitted the family of the man to attend the funerals of two of the girls today. It's really just such a shame. :(

I visited "Amish Country" 3 years ago. The Amish have great respect in the Lancaster County of Penn from the rest of the local population. The news reports said that the elders visited the wife and children of the shooter on the very same day that he did this. They will need as much healing as the families whose children were taken away. I was really impressed by that.

I understand a sixth child has been taken home from the hospital to hospice at home.

I will never understand this sickness in men who want to abuse and murder children. Sorry for the negative thought on an otherwise positive board. Let's keep these innocent children in our prayers and our own children close to our hearts.
