Another small bird, could be another Jay, mooching around the nest bowl at present.

Too small to be a Jay, and it blended in too much for a capture to be useful. Could only see it through it's movements.

Here is the link to the article Ojai Hikers mentioned.
Thanks Ojai Hikers for the heads up on that!

I can't recall where I read the post; a member again inquiring about K-01 of the
West End nest. They had asked about wingblings. Dr. Sharpe posted this information last night that I've copied from the Questions section. (K-01 was brought in from the San Francisco Zoo and fostered into the Pinnacle Rock nest in 2000--per Dr. Sharpe.)

K-01 does have wing tags, but I think only one wing has a readable tag on it.

The small visitor returned, just for a minute. He is sat on the small twig on the right, which points downwards. Now you see why he would blend into the nest......he is tiny!

Cumbrian, thanks for the screenshot. I had noticed the tiny visitor, but like you said, you almost had to strain your eyes to follow him around cause he's soo tiny.

Well, almost time to wrap it up here at work for today. Looking at all the posts I've posted ( ) today, you can tell I didn't get much work done. Oh well, I told the boss when I came in this morning that it's a holiday (actually two holidays) and not to expect much work out of me today. I was true to my word!
Talk to you all later!!

Nobody has said anything negative about the new camera, so I'm going to say it...I like the old view better, much better.. The new view seems farther away and not as clear on my set as the old nest...I appreciate all the work Peter has done and will lovingly watch over our new baby (babies) in the spring.. but I like my old view better.

Maybe it will look closer with two big birds in it.

And by the time we have babies, we'll have a pan/zoom/tilt/sound camera! It'll be great Lala, you'll see!

Here's a great video of an incredibly smart dog named Skidboot. It's long (about 9 minutes), but it is soooo worth it. Make sure you have your sound on.

Don't worry about the triangles. Cumbrian and Man in Black will keep us fixed up whenever we need it.
