Lots to catch up on.. I loved the photo tour of Hawaii Hulabird, especially the dog's place.. felt like I was the one peeking in the window.. good shots.. Loved the mansion Harpo.. and the alpacas.. adorable... Ojai Hikers, where is the bronze of the condors in Ojai?? I've never seen it. My son and his family are going camping in the Sierras this week-end and wanted to tell you about it: There is a co. that rents trailers to you and delivers them to your campsite... all the lakes in the sierras are covered in the cost..trailers are complete with everything except bedding and food..just drive up and unload. They have a baby and it did snow last week, so roughing it was out of the question. Will tell you the name of company as it slipped my mind, but all trailers are new and no hastle involved.. I love the idea.. keeps the bears on the outside also. |

Good Evening all...Finally home. I'm on Buddy bird duty until Friday when his parent's arrive back home. So I must stop by on my way home from work to take care, chat, and feed Buddy. He is molting so a bit on the quiet side, plus I think he really misses his Mom He has a continual CD playing of bird sounds and soft music. Very spoiled guy!I took this photo of Miss Oreo without her bonnet and her half shaven face. Kinda blurry but what do you expect with a cell phone. I'm not ready with the digital camera yet. It will happen soon...but in the mean time ![]() |

Thanks so much Naturegal for telling us all about the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday. I hope you all enjoyed the day with your family and friends. I'm sorry our news (at least mine) did not mention your celebration. I sometimes get angry at how the United States seems to be portrayed in other countries-like we're a self-centerd, egocentric country. I honestly don't feel that we are, but then we just skip over our dear neighbor's special holiday???? Frustrating! Anyway, as I'm sure you well know, we're not at all as self-consumed as we may "appear" to be. Honest!

I've never asked this before, but what's the difference between "guests" and "anonymous" on our forum??? |

I think a "guest" is someone who has not registered as a member. I think when you register as a member you can request that when you are online in the forum your user id does not show and instead "anonymous" does. |

ojailala and elaineruth, Go to this website for the photo. www.ojaivalleymuseum.org . The statue is in stone. There is a bronze statue also. I will have to remember where I saw that one. I will send a picture of that when I remember where it is. It is different ,the wing is stretched down, like the Condor was waking up and stretching. |

Sorry it's getting late, but if you go to www.ojaivalleymuseum.org, and click on "awesome art' then scroll down to the bottom and you can get a large shot of the stone statue of the condor. |
