Just checking in and saw the comments about the plane crash, I'm going to turn on the news to see what's happening. Dr Sharpe, nice view of the nest! |

Wishing Woody & Laurie both a very special day!![]() ![]() Have a wonderful celebration, no matter how big or small. If you're with your loved ones, who could ask for anything more? Welcome back, Bixby! We sure missed you. Go to your local post office to get change of address cards. I know where that is in Running Springs, but not Big Bear.....but I'm sure you either already know or will find out soon! Hope you're taking lots of pictures of your new house and your view, etc. It is so beautiful up there and the people are so friendly. |

Terrible about the plane crash. CNN still don't know how many people perished. What a scary thing after 9/11. Does the nest seem like it is on quite an angle, or is it an optical illusion, or is it because I had a glass of wine. |

Oh man, my cable went out for a couple of hours and I couldn't get online. What a panic. I missed the rest of the camera positioning. Dr Sharpe, you're going to be so mad at me but the nest is too dark. Sorry. Can you adjust it from the office? PS The positioning is perfect! PPS I think it will be fine at this brightness if there's an eagle on board. Nevermind. |

Yes that's what I thought too - and I didn't have any wine!! I think it's just that we are used to seeing it from a different angle! We need mom and dad for reference! WHERE are YOU? Come and see us...... I said before when we could see the numbers on the screen as they were trying out settings that maybe it was bit toooo dark! |

I sure do feel ungrateful right now. Not the case Dr Sharpe. We have plenty of time to get everything perfect before K-10 and K-26 come back. I've been watching for several minutes now and it does seem a little dark. We all appreciate your efforts. Sorry, I know you were doing your best.. |

Hula, don't worry, I don't think Dr. Sharpe will be offended or anything. On the contrary, I do believe he will be looking for our input on this. And I agree, it does seem a little dark right now. |

The link to the hummingbirds didnt work for me, blank screen. Is that bc its closed now (my time in Oz is 9am, so it would be 2pm in LA and @5-6pm in NY) I agree, the webcam's contrast from light to dark is extreme.... Cant wait for updates! Nancy, how is Oreo? Skillis/Sylvia you must be feeling better to be heading out. Bixby You've settled in! Can you take some pics of your area for the Video thread? Love to see your turf.... |

I can't make hide nor hair of that nest...or is it beak nor feather? Too dark on this monitor...not mine..and the angle looks like the whole nest is going to fall off to the right. I think I NEED a drink maybe?? |

The Hummingbird cam is up and running fine .... probably all the time. It isn't live. Try that site again. |

peppermint that was funny The cam looks funky now - the nest is all lit up and the background is dark!! Make a nice picture if mom or dad (or better yet cruz) were there!! Can't wait can't wait can't wait... Dr. Sharpe and IWS know they are loved and we're just trying to help (even if it might be a bit unsolicited - maybe ??) But aren't we the guinea pigs! |
