Any of you guys watch the Africam/Nkorho stream? If been checking it out in the evenings (morning in Africa) for a few days and have seen all kinds of different animals. Mainly Zebras, Impalas, Monkeys, Warthogs, Mongoose, Egyptian Gooses, and yesterday, a Giraffe! That was cool. The day before yesterday there was an Elephant, but I missed it. They have an excellent camera that's on day and night and you can set it to full screen, really nice. http://www.africam.com/ and click on Nkorho stream on the left. It's night there now. |

Bea, I was just chatting with Pottyshed/Carol and she watches Pete's Pond a lot. She said she saw an eagle there the other day and Jann (Eagle Duo) looked it up and it was a tawny eagle. |

I have good news and bad news. The good news is the color is back on the West End nest and I can see patches of blue sky through the zig zag pictures, so it looks like the sun is trying to come out. Hopefully, we'll have a good view of the nest soon. The bad news is, the eagle is gone.....for now anyhow. Hopefully it'll be back and the camera will be steady so we can watch it without having to worry about blinking! |

I didn't see the two eagles, which would have been so exciting--and am glad you posted that shot, Jann. I saw some preening. From the difference in time, maybe this eagle could hear and see the other...looks like it was watching something. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Debi for all the videos......great memories of the Saanich nest.....loved the way the eaglets were watching mom very, very closely to see if she was finding any food in her digging! Then Lil gave her a kiss.....of sorts.....food finding mission no doubt.....but it looked cute! |

HB - Even though I laughed at you up on the roof and afraid to come down the ladder, I join you in "Fear of Heights". I went horseback riding in Palm Springs, California, and my girlfriend and I, with a guide, decided on taking the mountain trail. Well, this little narrow trail went up about 3000 feet and the horses belly was wider than the trail. The drop on the side was terrifying and you couldn't turn around. Then we had to go down the mountain and I was a basket case. I was so tense that for the next 3 days, I couldn't turn my head, my neck was locked. Second instance was in Nassau where on a dare, I went parasailing and it too was terrifying. Never again. Someone told us later that the rope that connected the chute to the boat broke and the person fell into the ocean on the coral and died. While I was up there, I noticed a knot in the rope - good thing I didn't know this story before I was stupid enough to do this. Anyway, now I am so scared of heights that I love to have my feet on the ground at all times. |

I'm getting a constant "no video" message from west end. Somebody who is braver than me can talk to Dr Sharpe. PS, I've heard from Denny and he's doing fine. |

Mom, Jann is a tattletale. And she's touching me. (slaps to Jann over the backseat while driving from mom for nostalia purposes, back in the day when that was still allowed) Edited: Nice try MIB, my brothers used to try the same thing. You have been caught. I just saw the black ink on the wall. |
