Hulabird - thanks for the websites. Those baby animals are just precious and the eagle pics are beautiful. Since I am not on the trip to SC (darn#%!), I will wear my Cruz Badge today so if I get lost, at least someone will know who I am. We returned home from Montreal yesterday and were greeted with more rain. Had a really nice visit with my Mom, who is soon to be 95. I hope, if I live that long, I can be as sharp as she is, mentally and physically. Have a great day everyone and can't wait to see pictures of todays trip. |

Good Morning Everyone. Looks like Air Traffic Control will be needed at our nest this morning! Hopefully the fog will clear for our happy wanderers on the Island. |

Don't get bored, your not alone. A few days ago on our hike we saw an unusual hawk, I am told called a "kite". A rare hawk for this area, as I have only seen it once. A birder who also hikes our trail told me to look for it and what it is called. The kite is a white hawk, that hovers in one place, like a humming bird, when it is looking for prey. It's wings are longer and more narrow than a Red Tail hawk. I haven't looked it up on the net yet, to see where they are from and what brings them to this area. I think this hawk is alone. Well, The cruz to cruzneyland should be great. It all clear in the sky's here. The pictures of the cruz should be fantastic. How many went on the trip? Hula, I have a bird room too. My darling husband added a screened flight, at the back door, to the outside so they can go in and out at will. It gets cold here at night in the winter, and very hot in the summer, so they also have A/C and heat. I have these hollow coconuts on a string they love to hang out in. The coconut holds two love birds, perfect fit. Well, I really have to get this day started. Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to work I go. I will check in later. |

Good morning Cruz fans, whether you're on the trip or not! I'm glad that your Mom is doing so well, Naturegal. It's dark and rainy here in Kitchener. I'm wearing my IWS Tshirt and thinking of the members and their outing. It would be wonderful to meet everyone. Debi, you weren't on the board much yesterday and I thought maybe you'd been able to get a bargain on a last-minute flight from Hawaii to California and were going to surprise everyone. Our friends today: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good Morning all... Beautiful day today and should be a great one for the Cruzneyland group! Thanks for those links Hulabird. I will be wearing my name tag today and if I could I would wear my IWS sweatshirt, but not sure what my son would think if I showed up at the baby shower with it on. As soon as this grandchild is born, I'm going to order her a t-shirt for her future use no matter how small she is I will be in touch and hope that all have a wonderful day. ![]() |

Have a good time Nancy. I love that picture. Ojai Hikers, I'm surprised you aren't on the trip to Cruzneyland. I have my name tag, IWS shirt and cap on. I'm already there waiting for the boat to land. I wish I had gotten a last minute deal on a ticket but no go this time around. I got lots of text messages from ED last night and one from Lou this AM so if they keep me posted, I'll be here with my reporters cap on letting you all know what's going on. Latest from Lou was that the boat was on the way. |
