Oh my gosh what a day all had. The captures were excellent and it seems that there was sooooo much activity on the WE nest. Glad the hikers were able to see our K-10 and K-26 that must have been awesome! Thanks Hulabird and Cumbrian for all those captures!

Well home from the baby shower and I'm pooped! It was very lovely and a good time was had by all. The kids got all that they needed and now this event is becoming more of a reality everyday. I can't wait. There must have been well over 40 people so lots of gifts to open with lots of oooohs and awwws! Here is a pic of me earlier with my name badge on and with the only bird I could get my hands on...Buddy! I was with all in spirit and can't wait for more posts to come along with photos. Glad it was a success.

Just got home and aside from being incredibly exhausted, I'm still riding high on the adrenaline of this fabulous day (really, weekend for me!)
I will post some photos asap but I just had to say, the magic started BEFORE we set foot on the island: we were still on the pier when we met not only Dr. Sharpe and Dave but K-10 and K-26! now THAT's a welcoming committee!

Nancy, you are so pretty. Thanks for putting your pic in here with your bird and your tag. Can you copy it to the Cruzneyland thread as well? Or at least family pics so we don't lose it?

Remember all those babies Denny gave us yesterday?

I missed Denny's babies. What page on the 21st?

Please put all Cruzneyland pics and stories in their own thread so we don't lose anything. Your momma is issuing a lawful order here. Pretty please?

The beauty, the bird, and the badge - great picture, Nancy. It sounds like the baby shower was a lot of fun.
It's 11 p.m. here, time for bed. I'll have to read all about the trip tomorrow. I enjoyed the nest captures today, Hulabird and Cumbrian. Reading about the text messages that Hulabird was receiving was exciting and made me feel like I was a part of the trip. Good night to all. -_-

I have a bird room too. My darling husband added a screened flight, at the back door, to the outside so they can go in and out at will. It gets cold here at night in the winter, and very hot in the summer, so they also have A/C and heat. I have these hollow coconuts on a string they love to hang out in. The coconut holds two love birds, perfect fit.

Now I know I'm not alone in saying we need pix of all this!!!!
