Oh Sara, these pictures are so fantastic!!!!!!!! Thank you so much and the Hello Hulabird ones are priceless (for me). I have goose bumps all over!!!! You made good on your promise!!!! Just like Elaine Ruth, I'm wearing out my ! key. Oh thank you so much for these pictures!

Can you post a link to them in the Cruzneyland Pix thread too??? I'm dying over here. We are going to have so much fun over the next few days reading and seeing everything!

I am soooo excited right now.

Now let me tell you girls one thing. I would have instructed you better on the mantling Dr Sharpe picture. Looks like you were mantling the camera. Let me show you youngsters what mantling means.

Prerequisite for this course: Watch Elaine Ruth's Free Hugs video in Everything Else.

I have a bird room too. My darling husband added a screened flight, at the back door, to the outside so they can go in and out at will. It gets cold here at night in the winter, and very hot in the summer, so they also have A/C and heat. I have these hollow coconuts on a string they love to hang out in. The coconut holds two love birds, perfect fit.

Now I know I'm not alone in saying we need pix of all this!!!!

I need a picture of it so I can get these guys outside so the termites don't have so much competition. The termites have sicced their union rep on me.

Hula, we actually know how to mantle, but I think we were lucky to even get Peter in the picture for that, let alone try to mantle him.

OMG, I had to change the Depends when the Hello Hulabird pics came up. Our beautiful Sara promised to take me on this trip with her through her wonderful pictures and of course, she kept her word! Thanks again Sara!

PS: Sara, do I owe you any money for the steep donation you had to pay for the exclusive?

8:59AM The Nest is Clear for Landing........K10???? K-26????? Where are You????!!!!

Info Only...but at 10:00 when the boat pulled into Prisoners Harbor, both K-10 and K-26 were waiting to greet all of the human fans of their daughter A-49. What a way to start the day...I'm sure that there will be a lot more said on this as the evening and upcoming days progress...

It was a great pleasure for me to meet each and every one of you today. It was a truly fantastic day and I can tell that everyone had a good time.

Karen, thanks again for a job well done...take a break now you've earned it...I'll get mine when the raffle is over in a few days or weeks...or ???

LOL!!!

Well...I'm going back to the raffle...fyi there...there is nothing new to report...so...

Stay Tuned...

Well, I swore I was going home and straight to bed, but of course I had to check in with the board.

What terrific pictures Sarao! I think you captured the day very well. What a perfect, perfect day. I wish everyone could have been there. It was so fun to meet everyone. And what a special treat to have Kathy meet us at the boat in Ventura and then to have Peter and Dave meet us on Santa Cruz. We were very lucky that Peter had whistled for K-10 and K-26 so that they would also be at the dock waiting for us. Peter has done a terrific job training them. I can't describe the thrill of seeing the eagle couple in person. And then to see Cruz' actual nest!! What a special, special day. Thank you Kathy, Peter and Dave for meeting us. Icing on the cake!

Thank you to Karen for doing so much work to make sure we had a great day. Everything went so smoothly. And I love my name tag!

Thank you Eagle Duo for the eagle antennae toppers. They are really cool.

Thank you Hulabird and Cumbrian for all the great captures of the nests today.

It was so great to meet all of you today. I am so glad that I did not miss this trip.

Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Happy Birthday, Ojailala!!!

Guys: can't say much have very little time. Had great time with Patti and the flock. Boat was escorted part of the way by dolphins, and had wonderful time meeting everybody and seeing Mom and Dad and Dave and Peter. Will post pictures and more details tomorrow.

Sylvia

P.S. Hula and Cumbrian will pm you tomorrow because I have a surprise I want to send you.

Must shower...must sleep...Oh, that was a brutal hike! But the payoff at the end, to see the magical nest in all its glory, was worth every blister and aching muscle.
Too many people to thank but a short list (with what little strength I have left...everything hurts!):
Thank you!!!
-Karen for putting this all together and for the wonderful name badges!
-Dr. Sharpe for your magnificent surprise visit, plus your scope, and for your willingness to answer our endless questions...although I still don't get how you do that hike everytime you are on the island!
-Our guide from Island Packers who made sure we saw what we needed to see despite our time crunch.
-Island Packers for getting us there and back safely...with cold beer and the best microwave burritos ever! (OK, taste buds change after a weekend of primitive camping).
-Nature Conservancy for letting us trek upon those truly sacred grounds.
-Everyone who brought a telephoto lens. I can't wait to see THOSE photos!
-Last but not least, to K-10 and K-26 for your welcome upon our arrival! Hollywood could not have created a better opening scene than that one.
My bed is screaming my name now. Good night all my sweet peeps! It was so awesome to meet all of you today!

I don't know how many of you were there for those first 2 days of our little baby Cruz not getting any food, but I was. And all that time, I just begged for anything. And I know that you Cruzinators are wiped out right now. But can you just get a cat nap and get your little selves back in here. and talk to us? Soon?
