Hula, I'm so happy that you like your "special" picture with Peter. Hey, how about the one with Peter and ME holding up that sign??? I found it rather magnificent, but if you prefer to have him all to yourself so be it! I'll try not to take it personally. :P
Can you tell that Jann gave me a lesson on posting smiley faces yesterday?!

No I loved it! There's plenty of him to go around! But there's not plenty of room left on my wall to frame all the pictures of yesterday's trip :( . Unless....I turn my office upstairs into an eagle room....hmmmmm. Thanks for the idea Sara!

Dr. Peter.... Not that you are online and reading.....but I am sure there are at least 10 willing volunteers to hike back in with you to fix that pesky camera! Thanks for a wonderful day!

Does anyone have a secret technique for 'marking' where you left off last time?

This board does need "read", "unread" markers!

I just click on the "Go to First Unread Post," and it's usually pretty good about taking me to the last message that I have read in that thread. My problem is that I go between my computer at work and my computer at home. It's a computer sensitive read, so it takes me to the last read message on that particular computer.

Thanks, Bird, but that doesn't work for me!

When I click that, it goes to the last post in the thread, not the last one I read.

I think that's the way it's supposed to work, but it doesn't for me :(

I loved it so much Sara that you REALLY can't even imagine. Well maybe you can knowing what a nutjob I am. But unfortunately, I don't have enough wallspace to frame all the pictures from the trip. Unless, of course....I turn my office upstairs into an eagle room......hmmmmm. I need to get busy planning that one out. And it doesn't help that Woody thinks its HIS office and he's just letting me use it. His whale paintings will have to come down.

So let's see... counting Kruzmisl and everyone else's pictures, I guess I'm going to need about 800 or so frames. Anyone know a good wholesaler?

The system is moving very slowly tonight. Perhaps it's because we have so much activity today, probably only second to banding day. I can feel the excitement in the air.....

I know. My first reply to you Sara didn't show up for a long time so I just figured I accidently "reported" it as I'm prone to do from time to time. Luckily Cathy just ignores me. :P . So I posted again but see I replied to Denny's post. Well just everyone needs to ignore me now and I haven't even gotten into the inner peace yet. Which reminds me, what am I waiting for?

Press Release's... Does anyone want to type up a press release and send out the group photo to people who will go to their local newspaper and get a press release.
Usually newspapers love this type of press. I want one for the Ojai Valley News. It would be good for IWS.

Hula and Cumbrian:

I put together a surprise for those going on the trip, and I woud like to send some to you two. I had M&Ms made up, one said A-49 Cruzers, and the other said A26-A10, Mom&Dad. PM me with your mailing addresses so I can send them (before I eat them).
I wanted you both to be part of the celebration.
Sylvia

PS I am ordering more for raffles, naturalists whatever.

Watching from Emmitsburg, MD.

Yea!!!! Another East Nester!! And a Yankee, too (yes, you are. We claim you).
Even tho my bio says North Carolina and I've been here since 1965, in my heart I'll always be a Yankee, especially in the Fall and Winter!!!
Let's see: Nancy, Harpo, myself and you......... that makes four. If I have missed anyone, make yourself known now.
Now Denny...... don't know where to place him. I believe he will claim to be an East Nester living in the South. ;)

Me Too:

I was born in Norfolk VA, lived in Key West for a couple years, then moved to California when I was 9. Technically, I had 9 years of Y'alls before I moved to CA, where I had to lose the accent fast.

Also my next foor neighbor is going to give me copies of his pictures, so we may have to make him an honory member of the group.

To Dr. Sharpe,
Having a bunch of eagle loving women around you yesterday was probably, to say the least, uncomfortable. You were a good sport and we know it is not your nature to be the "rock star" idol that we have tried to make you.. We had no shame in grabbing you for photo ops.. You put up with us, smiling all the way.. In reality, we really respect you and the wonderful work you do for the eagles on the island..
