Dr. Sharpe, Dave and Cathy,

Thank you so much for making our trip to Santa Cruz so special. Your coming out to meet us really did put the icing on the cake. You all were so good to us (and tolerant of our adorations). Cathy, I can't believe you got up that early on a Sunday morning just to come say hello to us! It was great.

Thank you Dr. Sharpe for not only coming to meet us but also for bringing your scope so that we could get really good close up looks at K-10 and the nest! Without you going on the hike with us, we wouldn't have known where to look for the nest, let alone actually see it. Thank you for that special treat.

Thanks, Dave, for hanging out and answering our questions. When you had to leave, there was a ripple that passed through the crowd, "He's going to leave fish for 62; he's going to leave fish for 62; he's going to leave fish for 62 . . ." I would have loved to have been able to leave a fish for 62.

It was just so cool to be there with our eagle rock stars!

Thanks again for making Sunday a really special day for us. You guys are terrific!

Cathy, what would we do without this forum? I am so happy that we haven't had to call on you very much for moderator duties. Unlike Dr Sharpe who we see has so much excess time on his hands, we see that you are very busy.

If we get any peeps in here next season who want to dance (I know you know which one I'm talking about), hulabirdie will volunteer as a mod.
Thank you so much!

LOL, who among us wouldn't want a sample of Cruz's poop? Quit acting like I'm the only insane one out of all of us.

Not that being insane is wrong.

Yes, Thank you from the bottom of my soul for that amazing experience!
On the trip back to Ventura, in my delirium and happy exhaustion from the day, it took me a few minutes to realize that the woman behind the snack bar serving me a Heineken and microwaving my bean burrito was the Diane who just led our hike! It wasn't until she said something about how amazing it was that Dr. Sharpe had surprised us all, that I realized it was our trusted guide, now taking care of us on the boat ride home!

As far as my baked little brain can recall, yes it was Diane.
She did have a helluva time corraling us all in the beginning to get the hike started. What do they say: it's like herding cats?
You can just imagine everyone's excitement after a long boat ride, then being greeted by Dr. Sharpe, and seeing K-10 and K-26, waiting in line to see K-10 through the scope, snapping endless pictures, waiting in line for the 2 toilets, debating which hike to take, etc, etc.
I do not envy anyone the job of trying to organize our merry bunch of Cruzers that morning!
