Oh I forgot - did you watch the sun set on the nest last night - first opportunity I've had since it's gone to continuous live because of the battery hookup or whatever Dr. Sharpe said the other day! Just one or 2 twigs showing thru the dark and then fade away - it was so cool! So now I'm curiious as to what time sunrise is on westie coast so I can see it come to life in the morning! That was a part I always loved about the Vancouver nest - it's on 24 hrs. - peeping and all!!! I'm real happy to have that feature on our Cruz nest for the time being! It better not come on while I drive quickly to work............. I want to see the "fade" in.... ok enough rambling - off to work...

Good Morning all Harpo I'm up early here on the nest coast. The sun isn't up early, but I must leave early to commute. Anyhow the sun at this time right now is up around 7:26 and sets at approximately 6:20. We will be setting our clocks back this weekend so it will change. It will most likely be dark around 5:30 or so after the clock changing and then even earlier. Sun should rise a bit earlier for a while. Then for me its go to work in the dark and come home in the dark ugh  I really don't like this time of the year. I feel like a bear in hibernation Eveyone have a good day! Ah Hulabird great video...loving it |

yes - here in NY we're at the east edge of the sun rise and sun set so seems like we're always in the dark (coming and going) My family lives in Ohio which of course is real near the west edge of the same time zone. So it's weird when I am visiting cause what's really dark here at 6:30 PM in NY isn't dark until 8:30 PM in Ohio !! Drives me crazy..... It's 9:30 AM here now and no view of nest (if it's continuous feed right now) but that should mean it's not quite sun up on westie end! |

Thanks, Harpo, for the tip about the continuous feed on the SC nest and seeing the sun set on it. I missed that somewhee along the line. Can imagine how I did that with so few posts the past few days! The sun is just starting to come up over the nest now.....something I would have missed without your post.....and it's beautiful! Thanks again!

Thank goodness for you Jann - I just really have to MAKE time to get the program and learn how to do the video captures from the cam! I was stupidly under the impression that when the cam went down I'd do it then - but we've been so blessed in having the cam up all this time - I became lazy and complacent and truly happy to rely on others And being an east coaster, we are up a bit before you guys and now with 24 hr feed - well I just have no excuse (but give me credit for trying) Again thanks! You think after all this time I wouldn't get so excited by a visit but nearly fell off my chair (would I get worker's comp??) |

It was especially exciting for me to see the visit this morning because it came before we normally have video. Just wait til we have sound with it too! There will be no containing us then! Here's the video from this morning's visitor. Oops....you might want the actual video, huh? lol

All I can say is: "He's an early bird" get it "early bird" oh never mind you can tell how much I want to be at work ....... Jann: they have sound at the Vancouver nest and that was super! It would be quiet, I'm working away and all of sudden - peep peep peep which meant incoming parent! food! Of course it drove my hubby crazy cause he'd forget that I had it on and he'd jump up! So if we get sound here and I continue to "cam" both nests - I'll turn off their sound for our for sure!!! Ohhhh I'm so excited - just can't wait! edit: more eagle sigtings.....!!!!! How coolllllllllllllllll |
