Dave's calling from his computer whenever an eagle shows up on the TH nest, so I've been getting captures there while processing too. Oh yeah....Dave just said he fixed the video link from #10's visit to the SC nest this morning. |

At first I thought it was gonna be a leisurley day of nestoration for the Two Harbors eagles. They moved back and forth, working together to place this bit there, etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ...........................................................................................Then #82 took off. I figured #81 would soon follow. |

OK peeps. Its obvious we're going to need some more trigger fingers around here since activity is getting more frequent? Who wants to help? If you send me an email, I will send you the tool you need to be the fastest gun in the nest. After I get your email, you will receive one from a site called dropload.com. Click on the link they send you and install the program. Easy as pie to use. I'm going to the zoo with my friend today so will be posting lots of pics from that later on. Maybe we'll get some shots of other things too. She's more patient about sightseeing than Woody is so we're sending him off to work and then we'll get going. |

![]() They work side-by-side together for awhile....... ![]() Then just as I think #81 is preparing to take off..................#82 disappears in the blink of an eye! ![]() But not for long. Don't dare blink or you'll miss her return! ![]() Then it's back to work on the nest. ![]() Working side-by-side again...............................................then without warning, #81 disappears again.... |

Hello everyone! I just got caught up on last nights postings and want to copy my last post over here so it won't be missed should Roger decide to join us again. Also, I think a lot of you will find this interesting. Roger, please come back!!!!! Let me tell everyone who your employer really was and how much he did for this beautiful island. The following is from the book: Santa Cruz Island - Anthology - published in 1989 and dedicated to Carey Stanton (1923-1987) who established the Santa Cruz Island Foundation to protect, preserve and carry on the work of the Caire and Stanton families. In 1937 the westerly 55000 acres of the island were sold to Edwin L. Stanton, a business man from Los Angeles. The Stanton family occupied Santa Cruz Island for 50 years (1937-1987). With Edwin Stantons death in 1963, management of the Island passed to his son Carey Stanton (Rogers employer). HERE COMES THE REALLY GOOD PART: On Dec. 8, 1987, through the generous preservation foresight of Carey Stanton, upon his death the westerly 9/10th of Santa Cruz passed to THE NATURE CONSERVANCY. Carey Stanton established the Santa Cruz Island Foundation to ensure that after his death, the work to which he had devoted much of his life, would be preserved for public benefit. This guy was a good guy! Roger, we want to hear a lot more! Please don't leave us!! Pretty pleeease? |

![]() #82 stops to preen a bit and #81 takes that as a sign to leave again............ ![]() She takes this opportunity to primp and preen..... ![]() .......and fluff and make herself all purdy for his return...... ![]() Where is that guy? He's been gone a loooooong time..............let me fix this feather over here........... ![]() She lets out a huge squawk and leaves............................#81 returns, sees no one home & leaves again. |

#81 came back again a few minutes later with more nesting material. Worked on the nest, waited for #82. ![]() ![]() Kept looking up and moving over for her to come. ![]() I even think I saw her flash by in the distance behind the nest a couple times, but she never returned, so he left too. Thus ended their very busy morning! |
