That was a different view of the nest. It was so dark that all I could see were the white, gleaming head and the tail feathers. Was it Dad, Cumbrian? He just flew off. That was actually a very peaceful sight. |

Great pictures, Pat. It was so dark. What a treat to see Dad (?) drop in. Now we know he's at the nest sometimes late in the evening. He certainly is more interested in the nest than Mom is. |

I couldn't make out who it was......we will have to ask Dr.Sharpe to make the wing blings fluorescent from now on!!!! Going to have some food...missed lunch.....busy day. Jann have fun at the court house/jury duty. I have been called on three times and each time they all settled out of court so I didn't need to attend. Will miss your quick trigger fingers..... |

Jann and Pat, thanks for the pictures of the other nests today. I'm just getting caught up now. They were extremely busy! At Cruz' nest, K10 at least seems to be interested. Pat, you must remember to eat and get dressed! This is reminding me way too much of how I was during the Hornby nest experience. Bea, please continue to post the interesting information about the island. |

Kath, the Channel Islands Nat'l Park center has a great bookstore filled with books on the history of the islands and California in general. I took you were there years ago when we went whale watching. We weren't able to go there Sunday on our hike as we left @ 8, returned @ 5, the normal store hours. |

Wow nice evening capture Cumbrian. It pays to wear white at night so my mother always told me! Otherwise we would be left in the dark   excuse my pun!Busy day at the TH nest and WE as well. I sense SC will get busy soon. Dad keeps looking and talking a lot. Where is Mom? He wants to get going it seems. Thanks for all of your time and talent with these captures. It helps those of us who can't be on a computer during the day to keep in touch with the happenings. Can't wait for more to come. Had to take Whiskers my 17 year old cat in for his annual check-up. He has CRF, Chornic renal failure and is hanging in there. According to the vet though the disease is progressing, so all I can do is keep him hydrated with his fluids and keep him on his special diet K/D food. She wanted to perform these expensive tests and I just couldn't do it. I'm still recovering from Oreo's surgery money wise and really Whiskers is in no pain and he actually has gained some weight. I just couldn't see putting him through that stress. He has had this for 2 years. They say things come in 3's well this is the third kitty with something going on within the past 2 months

Jann - I had no problem opening and watching your video, it was great, thank you. Nancy - So you don't want to be a bear in hibernation, my feeling is this: I wish I was a bear, everyone would expect me to have hairy legs, excess body fat and wake up growling. Bee
