Wonderful captures of Dad (or was it Mom?) at the nest so late. We always wondered how much activity there was before the camera came on and after it went out at night. And when they get the sound transmitted....so exciting! Thanks for your captures, Cumbrian.....and good luck tomorrow. Dave says they have wireless internet at the courthouse, so I may bring my laptop and see if I can figure it out without him there to help me. :P

Guess I'd better get some sleep before tomorrow. Will try to 'lurk' around a bit....and hopefully see those pictures Hulabird promised from her adventures today! <hint hint> :D

Nancy - I'm sorry to hear about Whiskers, that is a problem that all of us that are "owned" by kitties must face. I'm glad to hear that he is doing so well and may that be the case for a long time to come.

Hi Lou, I see your still up! I'm just about ready to go to bed, but wanted to thank you for keeping Ralph company out on deck on the boat. It was too cold for me to stand out there, but Ralph loved it. And he enjoyed talking with you very much!

Okay 'Nite all!

Hi Bea!

Just copying pix to my thumb drive to take to work. Should be in bed!

I enjoyed talking with Ralph too! Right up front is my favorite place to be on a boat. Even if I was feeling like a popsicle. And Ralph wasn't even bundled up like I was. I was glad for the company. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. He did mention that next time he would be more prepared for the cold!

Lou, LOL!! That's what he told me on the way home. And I quote "Next time we have to bring gloves, beanies and a good warm sweater/jacket"
We did have fun didn't we?

Most definitely fun. This will be discussed for a long time. Every day on the way to work now, I look out at SC (or the fog!) and "see" the eagles and the nest and it feels a little closer now. :)

I feel the same way. Somehow more "connected" with a really good feeling about it.

Good night Lou!

Bea, thanks for the info on the Island, is this from your library books? more please.
.....

I'll be  :ph43r:
Ozzie

Kath, the Channel Islands Nat'l Park center has a great bookstore filled with books on the history of the islands and California in general. I took you were there years ago when we went whale watching. We weren't able to go there Sunday on our hike as we left @ 8, returned @ 5, the normal store hours.

Karen, thanks so much for that info! I will definetly check that one out real soon.

BTW, I scanned some pages from one of the books about Santa Cruz last night, and should have it ready for you guys tonight.
