That raven is certainly a busy guy, what could he be pecking at, with all the visitors there couldn't be much left. |

Twignapper isn't mine.....peppermint coined the term yesterday. Good one, Patti! But yes, this WAS a twignapper. He just left with one in his beak! Film at 11.....or there-abouts!

Poor Dad, he brings in a stick, one gets nabbed, he brings in another, another gets napped. Poor guy!! This is seriously going to slow down the nestoration. |

Troth - thanks for your good wishes regarding Jessie. My prayers are also with Tessa who we hope will live a happy and long life. Jann - Yes, we had a mattress cover on the bed with Jessie's accident, but still had to wash a duvet, sheets, and the mattress cover. She is worth every bit of work. Cumbrian - thank you also for wishing Jessie well. You are all so special and your support is so appreciated. Well I just returned from the second visit to the vet. I gave Jessie her first dose of the new antibiotic and she had a really bad reaction. She was salivating, wouldn't eat her special treats that she loves and seemed disoriented. We are now back on the original meds but for a longer period of time. I sure hope they work as I am totally stressed out over the latest episode. Have cancelled our social plans for this evening as I would never leave her alone under these circumstances. Tomorrow evening we are attending a dinner party for all the boaters on our dock and Jessie is invited as the hostess is a real animal lover and has a new sheltie pup that Jessie adores. Thank you all again and big hugs (mantles) to all of you

Oh man, I have been chewing on my cable company and electric company since midnight. . My internet just came on at 7:30. Don't these people understand that I have nest duties to attend to?Naturegal-did our sweet little Jessie eat too much birthday cake? I hope she feels better soon. Troth- Can we get an introduction to your Tessa baby? MargieW- Any word on Morissa? Harpo- Bless all your nephews and your neice for their service to our country! Eagle Duo, Skip the 41 days and just get on over here NOW! And Woody said yes! Thanks to ED and Cumbrians for screen shots and video this AM. You don't know how helpless I feel when I can't get to the nest. |

Yes, Hulabird, I do know how helpless you feel. That's how I felt yesterday while listening to the judge and those lawyers ask the same questions over and over and over again for each juror and alternate. I thought they'd never end. Wondering if that's what they're gonna do for each witness too? Asked and answered already! This judge doesn't seem too tolerant, so maybe he'll say that a few times and move things along. But we did miss you, Hulabird, and glad you're back in the nest where you belong. I wish we could come now too.....but they say patience is a virtue. I want it....and I want it NOW!!! btw.....we're coming in on the 6th at 11:24am on ATA Flight 4651. Naturegal, glad to hear the mattress was protected. Washing all that stuff is a lot easier than having to replace a mattress! Her reaction to the new meds sounds horrible. I'd cancel all my plans too. Poor baby and poor you. Makes you feel so helpless. Hope she does better soon. |

HB: glad that you got sorted out - darn those cable people! phone people! power people! I think maybe I should talk hubby into a generator so I'm always good to go! Actually they are saying big wind here tonight and thru weekend - up to 50-60 mpH and that we should plan on outages - WELLLLL it better not be on my block! prayers and thoughts to all those who have needs and concerns for sure! AND my mom was diagnosed today - it is fluid retention on the brain which is becoming a common thing in older folks but does have easy fix with a shunt! So if you have an older family member - what you should look for: stumbling, slurring of speech, stuttering, some memory loss, incontinence, sometimes tremors We assume that this is just a fact of aging but it's not always the case!!! Most folks have it and don't realize it until several of the affects kick in at the same time. Most of the affects are reversed when the shunt is in place! OK I'm done! (deited) |

I missed the fly-in, but saw this flash at the back of the nest. At first I couldn't see him and then he moved again, so I quickly turned on the video. What a sneaky twignapper he is.....playing with twigs here and there, acting like he was just rearranging things....lulling us into complacency.....then BOOM....off he goes with a twig in his beak! Here he is....the TWIGNAPPER! http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n142/Pr...27-06_Raven.flv |
