This has been reported by the police as an arson, a deliberately set fire. Not a carelessly discarded cigarette (even so, that is still arson in my eyes). If they catch the person/people I'm calling for death |

Naturegal, hope that Jessie is over her earlier reaction. Take care of yourself too. I think we can all relate to the stress our pets put us through at these times. Loved the Crazy Glue idea........ harpo, glad to hear your mom's condition is fixable. And yes , it will be great to have an East Coaster on the capture button for the early shift.........No Pressure...... Hulabird, we can all relate to not being able to access either the nests or the forum.... Also, hedi is working hard at being able to capture...she does however have a Mac computer so Fraps won't work for her.....we have been e-mailing each other so hopefully she will be posting soon. We will be here at 8:00PM to say a silent prayer for the FireFighters. Eagle Duo, great video of the Twignapper. Enjoy your new monitor. Another Jay at nest! never mind just left.....will post captures later. |

Harpo - congrats on your capture, now you are on to bigger and better pics and videos. Cumbrian - with all the meds out there my late grandmother always said, drink hot tea with lemon and honey and a shot of gin - it works. Feel better soon and try and get plenty of rest. Hope those arsonists burn in hell, that's what they deserve! Jessie seems a tiny bit better, still won't eat dog food but showed some interest in what I was eating, so gave her some. |

![]() Well, here is my first attempt. As you can see the Quicktime player border shows. If they are turning off the cam in 2 hours I guess i won't be practicing for a while. I still haven't figured out to do the other two nests, but I'll keep trying. |

I certainly hope we will be getting Wednesday updates, gulp!! Well, we should because the discussion board will continue. I am feeling really sad/happy right now. I don't know whether to smile or cry. I feel both. I LOVE CRUZ, she is my princess warrior and hopefully she will have a new sibling to follow her next year. I am happy and excited to know that. Big smile. . . LOVE LOVE LOVE this whole experience, there I am not sad anymore. I have to go home now so I will see y'all. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and don't forget tonight at 8:00 nest time. TTFN~ |

Hedi this is for you............Apologies to the others on the forum........ F12 key to open dashboard. On the Screen Shot Plus you have 5 options. From the left. Full Screen Grab..Timed Full Screen..Grab a window..Grab a widget..Drag a picture. This last one is the one you want. Click on this and it brings up the cross cursor. Locate this top left of the picture, not the whole screen, press the left mouse button and quickly drag to the right hand corner of the picture screen, again not the whole Camera screen. Release button to take the picture. Also if you click on the small i it gives you a lot more options on the back. You could also try Command, Shift and 4 and this also brings up the crossed cursor to do the same thing. Good Luck. |

Talk about being happy and sad. I have a beautiful new monitor to watch the nests on and come back to find out the Santa Cruz nest is gonna close momentarily. Won't even be able to watch one sunset on my new computer. I'm sure it will come back....just when I don't know. I hope we'll be able to watch the nestorations once they get into full swing. In the meanwhile, we'll all get lots of practice capturing stills from the Catalina nests!

Naturegal, Troth, Margie, and Nancy, just sending you caring thoughts about your ill and missing pets. Hulabird, finally got my Email working and have downloaded the screen capture link. Now I won't have a nest to practise on! Sheesh! I guess I can try with the other two nests. Cumbrian, at least now, when you aren't feeling well anyway, you won't have to get up early to do screen captures. I'll be here at 8:00 for the firefighters and to say good-bye to the nest.
