Dr. Sharpe, Have you seen the grassland eagles around their nest? Does it look like they will be nesting there again? |

The female A-04 has been going back and forth to Santa Rosa Island. Dave reported recently that he hadn't seen A-11 on his last trip out to the nest area, but he could be going to Rosa too or just been elsewhere. I really don't expect any real nesting behavior to begin until early February. Hopefully they'll pick a better place to nest this next season. |

Peter: so even though they mate for life, they don't necessarily hang out together during the "off" season? |

peppermint, that was my thought too/also regarding K-10 and K-26....as we saw him at the nest but not her......Do they actually socialize or acknowledge each other...or is it more an instinct as breeding/nesting season approaches? |
