As You know All Eagles All The Time 2007 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the West End Nest.

We have followed them through the Nestorations and then onto the Eggs/Incubation stage. Next was the exciting stage of Hatching and Fostering the Chicks and following their Early Development in Here a Chick! There a Chick! .... Now we have reached Banding Day .... where the eaglets will get their ‘wing blings’ and GPS units .... now at last we will be able to ID each eaglet on the nest .... just like their parents .... and we will be able to follow their progress as they start their journey to become fledglings.

In this topic we will also cover Branching ... although there are no actual tree branches on this nest to branch to, the adults have brought in larger branches and placed them around the edges, so maybe this is in anticipation of that stage. .... and the final stage of Fledging. This will be both a joyous and sad time for us all .... we will be sorry to see them leave the nest .... but we will wish them God Speed and Save Journeys when that time finally happens.

As you may know all these Videos and Stills have been selected by the capturers for this thread. You can see more videos and still pictures by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Now renamed Nest Watch.

Again we ask that you not post comments in this thread Viewing Only Please. This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes ... and also for Members and visitors to the forum.

We do however welcome comments, about any of the eagles, or the different stages, in the Daily Nest Watch or Chat threads. Thank You.

Capturers are asked to wait until Cumbrian or EDblue (Eagle Duo) posts the first thread of each day before oosting or reserving a space for your videos and/or captures of the day to keep continuity to the archives.

TODAY WE GOT OUR WINGBLINGS!

May 27, 2007

Today was Banding Day. The eaglets were measured, blood was taken and 'wing-blings' and a GPS unit was attached to them. Unfortunately the Cam was not 'at it's best' for video or captures!

Early morning of Banding Day. Wingercises by one eaglet.

You're going to get some bling today, bling today, bling today!
You're going to get some bling today, and we'll all shout hurray!

Hmm, just wondering what their numbers will be! ^"^ ^"^ ^"^

OK, kids, line up for inspection! Dr. B-)) and :<S><: are coming for a visit today, and I want you to look your best! You, too, Harry!

How do we look, Mom? Do you think all those people out there will be watching, too?

Posted Image
Stay tidy now, kids! I'll let you know when the visitors get here, OK? Harry, are you listening?
Aw, Mom, do we have to?

Dr. Sharpe puts the eaglets back in the nest after banding them.
