Conclusion to All Eagles All The Time: Season 2006/2007.

So another Season ends with the successful fledgings at all the nests on Catalina Island and Santa Cruz Island.

We have followed the Eagles on the Santa Cruz ... Two Harbours and West End Nests .....
From their early Nestorations .... through Bonding .... Eggs/Incubation .... Chicks .... Banding to Fledging .... Well we saw Santa Cruz Fledge .... but not Two Harbors or West End due to technical difficulties!

We also included Pinnacle Rock ... Seal Rocks and Twin Rocks through links to the IWS Catalina Updates .... for this season.

So here ... in Alphabetical Order ... is a Review of the Fledglings ... on all the nests.

We wish ALL the Eagles ... Adults and Fledglings

Pinnacle Rock Nest ...... Historic Year!

This year the IWS decided to leave the eggs in this nest to see if they hatched. They ... and all of us ... were delighted that 2 healthy chicks hatched naturally ... the first on Catalina Island to hatch, without human assistance, since 1945.

Hatch Dates: March 31/07 and April 1/07 .... ^"^First Hatching ^"^

Banded: May 23/07 .... Wingbling Numbers K-00/Male and K-71/Male

Fledge Dates: June 18/19 2007 ... approx.

This is K-71 taking off from the nest and flying around and below the pinnacle.

Itĺs K-00's turn to show off a little too.

I visited Two Harbors and I saw one of the chicks fly around for a little bit. I tried to take a picture but it came out kind of blurry so you are going to have to trust me that thatĺs one of the chicks flying away and back on the nest.
