Very Sad News! :'(

Catalina Island Fox takes chick from the TH nest in the early morning hours.

For some unknown reason, K81 & K82 left their 3-week-old chick alone on the nest for the night of April 19th.

Around 10:24pm, an island fox is seen at the nest, investigating for nestovers and discovers the chick. The chick wakes up and manages to fend of the fox.

At 1:27am on the 20th, it returned and sniffed around and took something off the nest....probably nestovers.

Around 1:51am on the 20th, the fox returned again and this time dragged the sleeping chick off the nest. :'(
