All Eagles All The Time 2008/2009 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the Two Harbors Nest on Catalina Island

Season 2007/2008 was another successful one for this nest.
Two eggs were laid ... unfortunately one was lost ... but the other successfully hatched at the IWS facilities and the chick was fostered back into the nest.
K-83 aka Star successfully fledged on June 21st, 2008.

Please check out the Class of 2008 to enjoy last season’s memories of ‘Nestorations to Fledging’.

The adult eagles .. K-81 and K-82 .. have been visiting their nest regularly during August/early September ... already some sticks have been moved on the nest ... and a few brought in. Maybe they are just tidying it up ... or ... they are already making a start on the restoration of their nest ... aka Nestorations by the A-49 Cruzers ... getting ready for the eggs that could be laid in March/April.

The Videos and Stills .. that will eventually be posted here on this thread .. have been selected ... as their favourites ... by the members who have captured them on Nest Watch.
You can see more videos and still pictures ... at a later date ... by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Also known as Nest Watch

We ask you NOT to post comments in this thread. VIEWING ONLY PLEASE! This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes .... and also for Members and visitors to the forum.

BRINGING IN SOME STICKS!

September 12, 2008

Multiple visits by K-81 and K-82 in the morning--they were busy bonding and building with sticks new and old--and looking good during breaks from nestorations.

BRINGING IN SOME STICKS!

September 12, 2008

K82 was alone for awhile. 6:37 and 6:50 am

Posted Image Posted Image

K82 flies off to collect a stick with a gorgeous swoop off the back of the nest, down and then up. 7:09 am

Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image

K81 arranges some sticks. I believe it was him since K82 had just flown off in the distance. 7:11 am

Posted Image

K82 flies in with another stick and the pair works together on nestorations.

Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image

"So, the nest is all tidy. Now what do we do?" "Do you think we have Empty Nest Syndrome, dear?" 7:23 to 7:32 am

K-81 and K-82 spent a while letting viewers get reacquainted with them while they worked on their nest.

Posing together--off for more sticks and back again--a slight tiff--and more work maneuvering sticks and posing beautifully.

NESTORATIONS CONTINUING TODAY!

October 6, 2008

K81 and K82 arrived on the nest about 6:48AM and did some moving of sticks
Posted Image

K81 then flew off and returned several minutes later...

K82 watches as K81 arrives a second time at the nest - this time with a big stick
Posted Image Posted Image

K81 drags it to the back, then K82 grabs it from him and drags it to the front
Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Only to then turn around and take it back very near where K81 was going originally!...
Posted Image

Togetherness, symmetry and... oops - a leedle rough moment!!
Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

K82's "tree" escapade was after this...

K-81 and K-82 had been on the nest working "together" , then K-81 left. Shortly after, K-82 made a brief foray to retrieve a big branch--then spent several minutes of serious nestoration working on the problems it presented.
