This is A-61 (Akecheta), who just flew over my house!!!... Thanks to a red-tailed hawk calling loudly, I went out to investigate. They were soaring together for awhile over the deck and finally A-61 took off for Ojai. A-61 last seen December 24, 2016 in Corvallis, Oregon...

A-61 is from Smuggler's Cove nest on Santa Cruz. Banded on April 29, 2016.. no fledge date.

July 20, 2017. Posted on the IWS Facebook:

" In addition to returning bald eagles to the Channel Islands, our restoration project has resulted in members of breeding pairs on the mainland. This photo by Linda Frazier is of the pair at Lake Casitas with this year's fledgling. The adult female is K-97, produced at the West End nest in 2009."

A-67 is from the Trap Canyon Nest on Santa Rosa Island.
He is the first known chick to hatch in Santa Rosa Island in over 60 years.

"Iím a nature and wildlife photographer based out of Los Osos, California and I photographed this Bald Eagle with Blue wing Tags #67 about 5.38 miles north of the entrance to Piedras Blancas Light Station."
