Great video Penny! I tried to get a capture but missed most of it; working too hard here and only looked up at the last. Great close up view! Looks like Mom went face first into the fluff and got a mouthful.

just did a mapquest and found out that the heinz wildlife refuge by the airport is only 15miles away. Alas i worry my car would not survive the road trip down the blue route and 95. The other option for me is the septa route 37 bus which seems to go all around the mulberry bush through south west philly to get there which is not an area i would want to carry any camera gear along. One of these days when or if i decide to get a more reliable car i will have to trek down there, Not only for the eagles of course but other birds who come to it |

I sinned today and bought a few plants to add to my collection. First I bought a Banana Tree (Chiquita Brand), and they will tollerate the cold here. I may be moving it in and out as the Weather permits. Ken loves Bananas, but I can't stand the smell of them YUK! I also bought a Cinnamon Tree, (the bark is how we get Cinnamon Sticks)! I didn't know that! I will move that in and out as well until it gets too big. They say they are vrey fragrant. A Tea Leaf Olive Tree again in and out until it's mature enough to stay out. Again very fragrant. Finally a Hindu Rope Plant. They say the flowers are fragrant. I will keep that near my Hoya or maybe plant both in the same pot. I think theymight compliment each other. Speaking of the Hoya I got 2 New leaves on it this week! I ment to cut my tops off my Chives in my Greenhouse, and give it a good watering. They will resume growing then. |
