Gotcha Sandie. Last time I had them clipped I had the vet do it. Plus my girls don't like me coming at them with glasses. With your surgery on your eye(s) I totally understand. With 20/20 vision, it's hard to see those little toes. rofl

I'll have to take some nice pics of them and post them. Kippie, my 17 year old has the absolute cutest face ever, she looks like she could have been a character in Bambi.

I sinned today and bought a few plants to add to my collection.

Well, at least you did it before the Philadelphia Flower Show next month. You may have been tempted to buy even more plants then.

For those not from Philly, the Flower show is put on every year by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and is the largest indoor flower show in the US if not the world. Every march philly gets bus loads of garden club members in to see the show. This years theme is "Bella Italia" and if interested you can check the show website at TheFlowerShow.com.

Thanks for reminding me. That would make for another Photo Op George. Ken hates to go to places that are crowded. Me I don't care. It smells SO GOOD there, and the arraingements are lovely. I will for sure be buying more things there. No doubt about that! If you want to join me I'll treat, and drive too.

Thanks Karen for posting the link to his/her picture. Almost a mature adult, and looking might beautiful in that eucalyptus tree. We hike in that area often, just north of UCSB, I'll have to keep my camera and binnoculars handy. :)^

Well, the pa convention center is easy as pie for me to get to as its just a 15min ride to 69th street and a short ride on the EL and im right at the front door.

As wednesday is your off day, that would be a perfect time to go in as much as the show is mobbed the first weekend and hopefully the bus tours from "the east podunk garden clubs" have come earlier or will hit it the last few days of the show. Its been ages since ive been to it and would not mind going again. The mayhem likely wont be as bad mid week as most people dont travel mid week for an event and we would likely only be with other natives there then. :)^

That is if my leg is ok by then of course

Yes, he seems to be headed back towards the home base area, Karen. We can assume that A49 looks very similar in coloring.

I would love to get to Philly to see the flower show one day...

I was in Philly about 5-6 years ago....son had a track meet, so we stayed a couple of extra days and did some sightseeing...Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and a couple of museums.

Track meet? as in PENN RELAYS? that is one of the largest NCAA track and field events in the usa. Even Bill Cosby has ran in that when he was a student at Temple University. Thats another event this philly native has never attended. Ill have to put that one on my to do list now as well

No, George....not the Penn relays...he is only in college now, but not doing any sports while in college. It was an AAU track meet. He ran in a local club here, and qualified for the regional meet, which was held in Philly one year. If he had placed there, he would have gone to the AAU Junior Olympics.

well my calender is open and clear for almost any date. I am told the removal of the screws in my thigh is minimally invasive and not as bothersome as inserting the rod and screws was a year ago today. If memory serves me this was about the time they took me to the OR to do it too last year.

This may be common knowledge, but I just found out that A46 is the "adopted son" of Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report, so he may be the best-know eagle in the U.S.! I posted a message on the sbcobirding site that if anyone sees him in the area tomorrow to post it ASAP so some of us might be able to see him (I missed him by half an hour, and no one has reported him since).

George have you arranged for some one to escort you home yet? I am worried about that. Did you ask the nurse for some recommendations? I love it when you talk photo!! <3 I don't understand it but I love it.

I love the picture of 46. I go up there on my Smoothie runs. Perhaps he will stay up there long enough for me to see. I would cherish the opportunity to see one here instead of Santa Cruz. Keep us posted.

I got this fantastic program from school today. It reads my textbooks to me. I have been listening this afternoon. I wonder how much of it I will retain this way. HMMM???
