WELLLLLLLLL - it was Eagle Fest Day on the Hudson River but we decided to go a bit North and skip Croton - head straight for George - quite a number of folks there but also a lot of eagles! We then headed up to the next look out point and was well rewarded again - then went to the next 2 parking areas and even more eagles. We'd have to guess probably 40 eagles today - maybe more! We saw talon locked free fall - juvies and adults playing in the air/chasing each other - we heard calling - we saw a fish catch and he lost it - we saw another fish catch/successful! - gulls pestering the eagles! - eagles riding the ice in the river - it was awesome! Just got home - haven't had the ES birthday dinner yet so going out again - will download photos in a bit! :soar: :soar: :soar: :soar: :soar: ps we passed the Croton Dam and saw lots of cars - figured eagles but didn't stop - found out later - there was a dead deer there and 12-15 eagles were there feeding - that's why all the folks were at the Dam! Oh well - next time! |

Deb how exciting to see so many Eagles. Looking forward to your pictures. The Talon locked pic is GREAT. Hope George and I get to see a few in our area, when we go in March, April, May. Hopefully the Weather will be nicer then, and Im sure George will get some GREAT shots of the Birds if we are privelidged to see any. The first week of March is our Annual Flower Show here, and we are going. I'm sure George will get some outstanding pictures there. Neither one of us has been there for a few years. Ken doesn't like big crowds, and can't get close enough to see. |

Peetie yiou and your D.H be carefu. Sounds like you may have been in bed, and are very tired. 4 A.M. that's late! How old is your D.S. again? Guess I'm a party pooper, but I'd tell him to be home at 1 A.M. If you can't have a good time by then, you're not going to! Please be careful driving. Your tired and not 100%. |

Cricket that is wonderful that you and George will be able to go together to the flower show. My Paul hates crowds too and just won't go to things like that. I hate to go places alone. There is a free concert tomorrow and I can't find anyone that can go so I don't want to go alone! Vicki Patti Lala Cathy..are you up to it. Anybody else. It's a great concert at the Ventura High school. They play some great music. |

Peetie 4am???? That's very late how old is he again? I would be terrified. You follow Cricket's advise and be careful. Why so late??? Cricket I went to the office to get the paperwork I needed and she was on a required training. So I had to make an appt for this coming Tuesday. I get that paperwork and take it to the management co and then they work out the rent aspect of it. IF it all works out I'm in. If not I have to wait for something else. I found out a little while ago that the guy with the gun in his car had 4,000.00 dollars stollen out of his car trunk. Now who needs that kind of $$$ in his trunk? Darn right drug money or stolen property $$. And I suppose he would NEED a gun with that going on. Very scarey. I try to believe the best of people. I am constantly amazed by these people It's starting to rain again here. |

SANDIE I agree it's always better when you are going somewhere to share it with another. On my drives from Pa. down to Ga. the scenery was just so lovely, and I had no one to share it with. I had the Blue Ridge Mountains on the right, and the Appalachian's on the left. Both sides were peppered with Red Bud Trees that were blooming profusely. After I got off # 81 and picked up # 77 I was driving on the side of this mountain, and it had a view of the valley way down below I'll never forget. I saw Bichon, Miniature Horses 24 inches high, and saw a cow giving birth in a field. Nature at it's finest. |

PEETIE 18 1/2 and still living at home. I'd have to have a serious talk with that young man. I would set a time limit, and I do think 1 A.M. if fair. If you can't have a good time by then, you're not going to. It's not fair to you either to have to go get him, but I understand why you are doing this. Think about making some New Rules that everyone will be happy about, and fair to all. After all it's your home, so you are entitled to have rules & regulations. |
