when we went to the 2nd area to view - there was a juvie in the tree by the house (where I want to live during wintering season) before we could even stop the car and hop out - an adult came out of nowhere and chased juvie out of her tree (apparently) she chased him overhead right to the Hudson - gently turned and came back to then perch in "her" tree!![]() the chase ![]() back to perch - you can see why he didn't argue - she's pretty good size! |

when we went to the 3rd stop there was a ConEd (power company) truck with 4 guys in it - asking if those birds on the river were indeed eagles - so we gave them our binoculars to check 'em out! They were blown away. So we told them about the one in the tree at the house just behind us - they followed us back up there and all got out - blown away! They were asking questions and using the binoculars to get a good look! and yes I was mentioning IWS and our eagles and gave the web site to a few folks

remember a couple weeks ago we posted the little light house showing an eagle's nest to the left (can you find it again here) - look how many eagles were "playing" in the air above!

and the eagle that chased the juvie out of "her" tree - well after some time, she finally decided to head off to other places - she did a "lighten the load" then lifted off and flew away - here's ES' captures - can you find the "shot" in top photo - LOL![]()
