We changed our minds yesterday about doing the Rose Bowl Flea Market after taking a long drive around the complex. It was raining, so not the best time to visit. We opted instead for a scenic drive in the area and ended up at the Fenye House which is the official home of The Pasadena Museum Of History where we took the $3.00 tour :D

Interestingly the only article in the entire house with an eagle image on it was this bust of Napoleon which, like most everything in this house, needed a good dusting

This owl was standing guard in the 'studio' area of the house. He was purchased by Mrs. Fenye. Those talons were very sharp :o

I will post a slideshow of our visit later today. :ok:

Hey Jann, :D
I just got a cute email from eagleboy. ^"^
That's your grandson right?
The older one we haven't met yet, right?
It was sent through the forum.. :ok:
Maybe I'll send him a photo of the car I drive.
I'm always asked by 15 year old boys if I want to sell it.

Hi Eagle Peeps! :}^

I've been flattened by the creeping crud so haven't been online in a while. It's my first day at work in over a week and I'm so far behind I may never catch up.

I got an email from my mom while I was gone about an eagle named Majesty that is currently in rehab up in San Luis Obispo. I haven't had time to go back and read all the posts for the last week so if this is old news to you, forgive me. Anyway, here's a link to the story - http://www.sanluisobispo.com/183/story/611447.html

I haven't heard any more recent news about her - I hope she'll be OK. :X:

Kathie, thanks so much for posting that article. That's the first I've heard about this poor eagle. It breaks my heart the poor thing was tangled on a fence. I've taken the winding road from the 101 to highway 1 through Hunter Liggett. I'm amazed they found the poor little thing.

Kathie...that is a great article! But so sad that the eagle got caught up in that fence :( Hope they can get her back to normal quickly! And sorry you were under the weather. Glad you are feeling better, too. Still having probs with hives. Was fine all wknd and now that I am back to work they are back. Wonder if they can be stress related?
