Lala - I can't see your pictures but are you looking under the two crossed sticks? It looks like a little gray bird head to me too, with his little beak pointed straight up at the eagles like he's watching them.... |

If it is a little birdie, he's very brave being around those eagles.

Bea - I was just looking at the bird list for my area. Wow! It's a big list. I doubt that I'll get out anywhere over the weekend to do any real birding but I could probably spot a few right in my own back yard. Hummers, sparrows, etc. Do you participate in the count? |

My dad just sent me this: VERY IMPORTANT FACTS from your Financial Advisor!! Rick was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with which to share his fortune. One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away. "I may look like just an ordinary man," he said to her, but in just a few months or maybe a year, my father will die, and I'll inherit $200 million." Impressed, the woman obtained his business card - and two months later, she became his stepmother. Women are so much better at financial planning than men. |

I think that is an optical delusion....or if it is a bird it really is delusional for being there in the first place.

Penny, you are probably right, but looks more like a baby chicken than a bird... or maybe a sparrow... |

Too bad the bird count in our area will be in such rainy weather... seems like the count will not be too accurate with so many birds staying grounded... :soar: Would love to participate sometime... I know most of our birds in the valley.. have trouble with some of the smaller vireos and warblers.... |
