My DH and I just came home and there were a bunch (probably 25 or more) of big birds flying over going north. You could hear them. It was great. We figured they were sand cranes but we could not tell for sure as they were too high up. I thought at first they were Canadian Geese but my husband who is from Canada said no. I tried to take a picture with the camera on my phone but again they were too far away.

True George, I just want to get off the BP medicine, my dosage has been cut in half, and my doc want's me to cut the tablets in half...then no more! My cholestrol too has gone way down from 220 to 189, which I had to do for my heart.

Wow Carlea, how exciting. I hope they were cranes! That's the story of my life, by the time I get the camera out and turned on, they're so far gone... Have a great Day!

while not a dog owner, Stump really shows his stuff well! Nice to see that an old geezer dog beat the youngins! Think the news here said he was 10 and his bread normally lives to the age of 12. |

I loved the standard poodle as well, what a big show off he as...final judge does not see any of the dogs until walking out onto the floor.. so was not influenced by any previous chat...didn't take too long to point out her favorite....

Stump is sure a beautiful dog. I bet Martha Stewart will be gushing all over him. (I would too, he looks so soft and cuddly)

We missed the entire Westminster Dog Show ![]() Maybe it will be repeated. There is an older style Tivo in the condo which is programmed to the hilt...the only problem is that it will switch stations anytime. Grrrrr....hate it. I finally got around to do the slideshow of our visit to the Fenye House, one of the many mansions in Pasadena. Click on imageThe Fenye estate is officially called The Pasadena Museum of History and you can read more about by clicking the underlined link. |

![]() Wednesday, February 11 As Kate indicated in her update on Monday, Xi Lan is now spending his days on exhibit, and during this time, he does quite a bit of resting; he is a growing cub, after all! But because Xi Lan is spending more time on exhibit, you'll probably have the opportunity to see him do more than sleep. The other day, for example, he spent quite a bit of time in the afternoon playing with Lun Lun. Although this is not all that unusual now, he seems be getting a bit more creative in his play behavior. During this particular play bout, he used one of his enrichment items, a plastic "donut,” as a type of platform. He stood on it while he was playing with Lun Lun, and then launched himself off of it and onto his mom. Despite his expert moves, he seemed to occasionally change his mind during the play bout and try to get away from Lun Lun. But his mom is bigger and stronger, and maybe she has some important things to teach Xi Lan during these play bouts, so she pulled him back for more.
