George you never cease to crack me up. Loved the Bank story. I told it to Ken at Lunch, and he got a chuckle out of it too. You rock!

Andie I am so sorry you are not getting the relief you should be after your injection yesterday. Give it a couple of ore days to see if it kicks in then.

SANDIE I would start looking around for another place. It doesn't sound like the one you want is going to work out. Don't let the grass grow under your feet. Hit the pavement (not literally please), and start looking at other places right away.

My main bank was right across the street from this bad bank so i had little fear of robbery.  My bank here was one of the first to not keep the traditional "Bankers hours".  It was nice being able to walk into it at 730 on a tuesday or 2pm on a sunday and actually deal with a live person.  This bank is now owned by a canadian bank Toronto Dominion and their just as easy to deal with ive found so far. :X:

Aha, I guess that's who TD bank is....they bought Commerce Bank

Yes. Odd story here with regards to their take over bank. The former bank Chairman used to show up in all his branches around the holdays. One late afternoon when i go into my local branch whom do i see none other than the chairman.

The model of his bank really had set the rest of the big boys on thier butts because he was open late m thru friday and also on weekends. I commended him on this model because not everyone keeps bankers hours liek the big boys do.

Other interesting tidbit is that the former Chairman/owner has a serious stutter and you could detect it at times when he was interviewed on msnbc and bloomberg. I could only immagine the way he had to be picked on at school and am thinking that when he went to his reunions he would not only be laughing all the way to the bank he owned the bank.

Regarding Banks...I work for a large Federal Credit Union in Ventura County, we had to replace over 2600 debit cards this week to due a breech in security with the card manufacturer.  When a member comes in with an unauthorized charge, we refund the money, and reissue them a new card immediately.  Our accounting deaprtment always runs a report in the a.m. and checks each members account for any unusual activity, if so we contact them to see if they indeed made the charge.  BTW, Bank is a dirty four letter word to Credit Unions, also, we insure accounts to $500,000, whereas banks only cover $200,000.  Those nasty old banks.   We also monitor accounts for elder abuse, and I can tell you it's very common, usually the grandchildren are the culprits.  When the member sees on video it was their grandhild, their hearts just break.  Very, sad.  :(

I used to work for a Bank also.
Vickie, the 200,000 Insurance you mention, that is something other than FDIC?
Because I think FDIC is only 100,000 (unless something has changed in the many years I have been out of the banking business.)

The FDIC has also upped their insured amount per depositor until 12/31/09...it's now at $250,000

Cricket, Andie didn't get any injections yesterday. She had a consultation with a nerologist, who apparently doesn't see that there is anything that can be done for her.

George what a great thing to be able to view out your back window.

I took it wrong when you said "not much shooting". lately. I'd love to look out my window and see that everyday. Just like Carole and her finds.

I think the other day I saw a falcon. Not as close as Haropo's hawk today tho. I see a lot of hawks around here but never saw a falcon before.

My kneejerk reaction this am was to call the management co. So conflicted.

Cricket I have never stopped looking. There is another place that I was going to take as soon as it became available. Actually I was going to take which ever came available first. Not wanting to miss out all together like last time. It's thru the same management co.

Don't know if this is the place to post it or not, but I saw this story about an eagle up near me:
http://www.ksbw.com/news/18682923/detail.html

I posted this story a few days ago and was hoping your link was an update, but sadly, no. I hope Majesty can be released soon....

Actually Credit Union's are insured by the NCUA and Share Insurance, totalling $500,000. Whereas banks are insured by the FDIC at, $250,000. Heck my $500,000 is safe here at my credit union. rofl rofl rofl Yeah right! I mean my $2,000.
