Andrea - You cracked me up. How lucky you were to go to the Super Bowl. DH has been promising me that for over 30 years and no such luck yet. We were only an hour drive to Tampa but the price of the tickets was so ridiculous and the scalpers were having a field day. One day I will get there.

By Christopher Sorry I missed you.Well I have been busy searching for some New Recipe's to try out and Doctor up a bit. In my Search I found a few of H & H's old ones, which I will post in the Exchange as soon as I can they are: Mac & Cheese Baked Beans Creamed Spinach Rice Pudding The one I was looking for was the Vanilla Cream Sauce for the Hot Apple Pie! However it wasn't a total loss since I've been looking for a good Baked Bean for Ken, Creamed Spinach for myself and the Grand-children, and the Rice Pudding for all of us. I will add raisins to that! |

Good Morning Cruzers! Hope all is well with everyone this Sunday morning. I've got to head out to Costco before the next rain storm hits. The Topa Topa Range was fabulous the other day, snow lower than I've seen in years. Our local So. Cal ski resorts have over 5 feet of snow, and we're expecting another foot or more.

Cruzers As Mr. Rogers would say "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....even if it is cloudy, but at least it's not raining here ![]() Pat I loved these photos you posted last night of the eagles gathering for a fish feast in Comox Now why can't they continue to do that in Alaska during the winter months??? http://z7.invisionfree.com/CHIL_EagleCAM/i...post&p=16164383 |

Cricket: I didn't think Ken allowed you to cook?? I combined two baked bean recipes into one....has everything in the world in it...molasses, brown sugar, bacon, onions, mustard and catsup..can't remember what else as I haven't made it ina very long time. When I was married, my ex- cooked them in our old camping dutch oven...the kind where you put hot coals underneath the pot and on the lid...while he bbq'd tri-tip. I love it when the cooking is all done OUTside and out of the kitchen...and by men....on a hot day. |

Burger Lovers Day![]() and Canadian Flag Day ![]() February 15 was declared National Flag of Canada Day in 1996. It marks the day in 1965 when our red and white maple leaf flag was first raised over Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and indeed, hundreds of communities across Canada. Red and white were designated as Canada's official colours in 1921 by His Majesty King George V. |

For Valentines Day we ended up back in Santa Monica yesterday because I wanted to get some wool from the Wildfiber yarn shop. Later we went to Venice Beach because there are countless design stores and art galleries along Abbot Kinney Road. Some of the movie stars who have small homes there are Angelica Houston and Julia Roberts but the only stars I saw were at Urth cafe in Santa Monica when we stopped for some sustenance around 8:00PM. No fancy Valentines dinner for us as we had Siobhan and we were sitting outside under the heaters. While Allan was waiting to order in a very long line inside, a very familiar looking young woman came out and sat down near me. She had no makeup on and was wearing impossibly high stiletto boots. She got on her Ipod and was texting someone and looking all around constantly. Some time later an African American man shows up acting kinda goofy in sunglasses. He sat down, kept his head low and also was looking around. As soon as he took his glasses off I knew who he was because his eyes were blue. It was Gary Dourdan formerly on CSI Las Vegas. Very shortly after they went inside to the main dining area on the private back patio. I still haven't figured out what the woman's name is but she is Spanish or Puerto Rican and I am sure she is in movies and well-known...not Salma Hayek though
