KATIE that's what Maria said we should do with it. Just cover it with 20-30 gal. trash bags and let it sit in the corner till next year. Joan wouldn't go for that! I had it decorated in an hour this year including tinsel, and it was a 6 foot pre-ighted tree. Everyone complimented on how beautiful a job I did on it. Normally it takes Maria and I a couple of hours to do. I left many ornaments off this time. They got broken and it's a shame because I bought them for Joan two years ago and they are Collectors Addition Ltd. About $35.00 a piece! I was sick when I saw they were missing heads, arms, legs etc.. I have to say I don't think a Pro. could have done a better job then I did. |

Linda...woman after my own heart! That's one of the reasons I always splurge for a Noble Fir...they hold their needles forever...at least much longer than Douglas Fir. Mine was still really fresh until about the third week of January but life got in the way and couldn't get it down until this weekend. I have a client that has a fake tree for her office...they DID decorate it for Valentine's Day and plan to leave it up all year changing the decorations with the current holidays. I wonder if they'll have to dust it at some point? I like to leave my white lights up on my porch railing all year for mood lighting but I got told this week by management that HOA rules say holiday lighting has to come down by mid-January.....drat. |

Katie: try putting some water and baking soda in the pot and bring it to a boil and then let it simmer for a few minutes...but don't forget it or the water will boil away LOL. While it's still boiling you can try gentle scraping the burned on sugar part with a wooden utensil to loosen it. Sometime you have to repeat this process a couple of times...sometimes it works right away. Anyway...I've saved many a pot this way. Depending what kind of pot it is, sometimes doing the same thing with Cream of Tartar (after getting the chunks cleaned off) will help take out burn stains. Good luck!! |

Deb looks like everyone had a wonderful time. Loved the Log Cabin! Peetie thanks for the Milestone recognition. They really add up fast in N.O. Peetie loved the sheep with the Ewes. Just darling. Well since we didn't get to take Ken's Mom out for dinner last week due to his brother having the Flu we have to do it tonight. I feel like you know what and look like it too. Maybe they will see when I say I am not well they will believe me next time! |

The house is full of smoke and I have caramelized sugar burned to the bottom of the pot.
The pot that is.
