Help!! I put the pot on the stove with sugar to make a batch of hummingbird food and ran to the bathroom. You got it. I totally forgot to come back. :( The house is full of smoke and I have caramelized sugar burned to the bottom of the pot. :8O: :8O: :8O: Not sure I can save it. :'( The pot that is. :D

Katti been there done that way too many times. at least you didn't LEAVE THE HOUSE....like my neighbor

Deb wonderful pictures. Nice digs too. But I forgot about the time change ande wondered why you were home so early

George what have you done to solve the "home from the operation" return?

Cricket I'm with you on the hospital trip. I hate to have to do that. I don't like all those hours waiting there to be seen and diagnosed. I can not wait until my doctor comes back from maternity leave

Sandie I wait till the last minute before I ever go, that's why I'm normally in trouble by the time I get there. Once I leave I know I had a good Team. The day I'm put in a Body Bag please know I didn't!

Ok just about ready to get to his car.

Will get on when I get back about 9ish or so. I CAN'T WAIT!

Well, there supposedly is a transportation benefit of my plan which may pay for going home. The problem is that they must be scheduled at least 48hrs in advance and with my last plan them showing up was about as reliable as a politician keeping thier promises made during the campaign.

Other problem is that they wont ship me home alone so it looks as if i shall have to import my sister to pick up the body when they are done with me

goodey goodey going to go look at a place to rent. It's at the beach and is a duplex. Back to my roots. I loved living down there while I was there. Then there is another place in Camarillo that I might look at too. I have to wait an hour to look at the beach one and then tues probably for Camarillo. :)^

Ha!  Ha!  I just got my tree and the rest of the Christmas decorations taken down and put away the week before last.  We got a fake tree a couple of years ago, and that is one of the benefits - I can procrastinate and be as lazy as I want to be.  When we had real ones, they often came down the day after Christmas, always by New Years as they just get too dry.  I was threatening to leave mine up and decorate it for Valentine's day, but dd had a fit.  She is having friends over for a book club meeting tomorrow and wanted it down by then.

Linda...woman after my own heart! That's one of the reasons I always splurge for a Noble Fir...they hold their needles forever...at least much longer than Douglas Fir. Mine was still really fresh until about the third week of January but life got in the way and couldn't get it down until this weekend. I have a client that has a fake tree for her office...they DID decorate it for Valentine's Day and plan to leave it up all year changing the decorations with the current holidays. I wonder if they'll have to dust it at some point? I like to leave my white lights up on my porch railing all year for mood lighting but I got told this week by management that HOA rules say holiday lighting has to come down by mid-January.....drat.

Too bad about the lights and the HOA. Lots of people around here keep the white lights around porches and patios all year. I keep saying I'm going to hang some around my patio, but I'm too lazy. Maybe this year.

I found the Elk herd again today. Yesterday, they were in an open field that's viewable from the highway. Today, they were about 1/2-mile away down in a canyon, but it's right next to a road. This looks like it's in the mountains, but it really is in "suburbia"...there's a nice balance of homes and open space in our neighborhood that allows wildlife to travel. Anyway, here's a couple of pictures (there are about 100 Elk in this herd)...
