GEORGE glad to hear it wasn't anything serious. Keep us posted as you hear anything.

Janna I know this Irish Priest who goes back to his Homeland every year. What do you think of my contacting him about our trip? He may have some good idea's or give us a personal Tour of Ireland. He is as sweet as they come, and normally has Joan and I in tears, talking about his Ministry in the Navy when he was a Chaplain. He is a great Story Teller too.

A little 4 year old boy drowned at our lake yesterday... someone last saw him feeding ducks on a dock... Cynthia and I were there for a couple hours in the am but this happened around 4:00.. I saw the helicopters fly over and land and knew something had happened... :'( <3

Oh LALA THAT IS AWFUL! How devastating! Where were his parents while he was feeding the ducks? Who was looking after this poor sweet little child?

Oh Linda how very sad. Why was a 4 year old unsupervised around water? How unfortunate for that family. :'(

Whoever saw him alone should have looked after him... his parents thought he had been kidnapped but the divers found him right away...I don't know anything else but it has certainly been upsetting....when the Ojai paper comes out there will be more information... :(

Sorry for the sad post.. I just feel close to the situation as I hiked in that area hours earlier... and it was a great day, after a hectic Saturday with tons of people at my house......lots of shore birds... the Killdeer were especially active and vocal.... doing their own little mating dances....not many people camping or visiting the lake.. seemed very quiet and peaceful.....

Yeah this is a good question! Maybe i am nuts but what parent would allow a child that age near any water unsupervised?? Not that i am blaming the parents as accidents do happen even when supervised. (been there done that often under supervision as a kid)

The people who saw him alone should have stayed with him for sure. I am sure this is a guilt they will carry around with them for the rest of their lives. Life is so fragile and fleeting and this poor sweet little boy was a victim of some bad decisions. :'(
