Laurie, you were not insensitive at all...until we know more, it is hard to blame anyone but someone saw him on the dock....either a parent or bystander....all of us would have stayed and watched him until an adult came along.... like a kid or dog in the street... you don't go about your business as usual... |

QUOTE Elaine: Have you ever thought about going in the A-49 Cruzer Events and starting a new Topic called Ireland Trip or something like that? Then you could move all your Chat posts about Ireland trip and also new posts, over there. They would all be together in one place and not buried in the Chats. You would not have to go searching for them. If anyone else comes up with some ideas or suggestions, they could just post it over there, too. Just a suggestion but I think it is a good idea. Good idea Elaine. It'd be a very handy reference to have it all in one place!

We are just casually chatting about our trip in chat and shooting ideas ouit there to one another. All the major stuff will not be done in the forum anyway. starting a whole different chat line is not something I am interested in doing since it really is not a Cruzer event. Thank yuou anyways! |

Since those cheese carriers broke so easily I too wondered why they didn't roll them down the hill! But perhaps they may have rolled way past where they had to stack them & then would have a long ways to go to retrieve them & then carry them uphill! They must have weighed 50 lbs each since they had to have 200lbs worth & only had to stack 4 of them! Yikes, I don't think I'd like carrying 50 lbs down a slippery hill! You'll never catch me applying for that show!

I need that kind of news with a little cream and sugar! After I gathered myself, I emailed DIL and asked if she would have the grandkids take swimming lessons at the YMCA, at my expense. They were just at the Kenar Resort that is on a lake with docks too. I just said if they ever fell in the water it would be good to know how to save themselves. Terrible news to hear, but we can all learn from this.

You could, however, take this discussion off list and just email each other as your conversation does not apply to anyone else here. Again, just a suggestion, as your messages back and forth are of a personal nature. It would be better "netiquette", if you know what I mean. |

our schools here on LI go the same amount of days as everyone else but they get lots of days off and a couple - three week long breaks - this week being one of them! The kids are off all week! and with President's Day - lots of families are off skiing or down to FL! no one home in NY ... except the Harpos! However - they don't get out of school until nearly the end of June - starting end of August/first of Septeber (more like first of Sept!) |

. Don't be sorry you needed people to talk to about it. I didn't mean to be insensitive to your feelings.

But perhaps they may have rolled way past where they had to stack them & then would have a long ways to go to retrieve them & then carry them uphill!
