Having a holiday yesterday & the pool being closed gave me extra time to do something like that!

I really admire swimmers. Every morning I go to the gym at 5:45 am and the swimmers are there going out in the cold and rain to do their laps. I must say swimmers have the strongest immune system of all athletes.

I have a bit of a head cold just from going from my car to the door.
:P

Jillers, when did you go to Africa? I am jealous! ;)

I lived in Sudan 1982-1984 & in Kenya 1989-1992.

Oh it's lovely to swim in the rain! The pool is 82 & you're in your own little world! It's only cold going from the locker room to the pool & back! Then a hot shower! :D

The problem is that once you post something to a site on the internet - it never goes away! They say the best way to be sure you never lose your photos - post them to Photobucket or Picasa and they'll be somewhere on the internet forever! Good thing - bad thing?

Even here on the forum - one should always be careful about what you post...... it's viewable by the public and a quick click and it can be copied ...... you just have to be on top of things and be careful! Technology can be great or it can be bad - but ultimately you are the one who chooses what gets put out there! Be vigilant!

I survived the subsitute doctor for my primary one who is out on sick leave til late april.  Surgery is a go so far for friday.

George, if I were you I would take a fat black permanent marker and write on my good leg

'NOT THIS ONE'....just to be on the safe side. One can never be too careful before going into surgery!!!

As a former aol board meister and chat host, i do suggest being careful with what one posts. Even with emails or text such as this , it can be copied and doctored to say something totally different than what was originally posted or said in a chat.

Ive seen some really dirty tricks pulled by snerts that have turned a forum into a mutual hate fest with them becomming very unpleasant. Even the most innocent comment can be altered into something totally opposite of the orginal persons intent.

will be recruiting partners for the next three legged race after that, you must have use of the right leg as left is the one to attach to my right one rofl

George, you will be glad when it is all over and the healing begins...it will be a breeze for you....Oh, and when I was catching up on chat the other day I came across the deer in your yard and your great shots... so lucky to have them close... I used to have deer here on the hill when I first moved up here... I didn't even mind them eating my roses....sort of like the peacocks eating my flowers...

Now in many hospitals that is standard protocol. When i had surgery on my tendon at the same hospital they had me mark the one that was or wasnt to be cut. i drew a huge arrow down my shin to an x on the top of my foot and wrote "CUT HERE!"
