Good Morning Peeps.... I hope your day starts off a lot better than this  Dad jumps up screaming at an intruder who flies very close past the Norfolk nest at 6:44am At the 1:03 mark you can clearly see one egg pop up after his talon hit it ![]() ![]() Click for Video by DeeJay |

QUOTE: Robin-Jillers, I love your Africa pictures. Looks like a gerenuk to me. (fyi, a gazelle is an antelope, so either one would be correct!) http://www.awf.org/content/wildlife/detail/gerenuk I do believe you're right Robin! Thanks!

I love all the cams. . but enjoy PH the most because it's closer to the nest and you can see more of what's happening. I also love the sounds at that nest.Peetie, saying a prayer that you Sjimmie will come home with you tomorrow. I've been lurking today. Work work work. But I have been checking on PH nest all morning. Lots of nestorations going on. . .

New Buddy Update....sort of... Buddy was originally scheduled for another dremmel procedure today. It was postponed from earlier in February due to other significant priorities at the WCV. It has now been postponed again because "The eagle is eating just fine and not having any problems. So … at this point dremmeling has been postponed … until needed. He is checked by rehabers several times daily and gets a 'formal' assessment by the veterinarians on at least a weekly basis." I guess you could call this GOOD news

aaaah I think Buddy is going to be "crooked beak" forever now...... since he can't be released and if he eats fine, guess they'll just let nature be...... but he's alive and healthy and can speak in his own way for all eagles thanks for the update!norfolk that's pretty scary - well they do roll the eggs a lot so let's just think of it as an unexpected roll........ and hope all's well and the "intruder" moves on... |

More Xi Lan photos There are still some technical problems with the streaming from the Zoo Atlanta cam. Seems to have something to do with the company having to expand their bandwidth so we still have to wait  Meanwhile, here are some pics of Xi Lan from the Zoo Atlanta Facebook site. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
